and finally the "Turkisness" of the discovery boils down to Biruni which the English wiki naturally says to be of Persian .
the discovery is credited to mathematical calculation where the guy roughly gets the correct circumference of the world and says it would make sense if there was a landmass in the empty places that remained after removing Africa-Asia-Europe . Though that approach certanly didn't work out with the Southern Continent thing .
