yes, I love my creative zen :) never liked the ipod, it's probably irrational, but meh :)

I wouldn't do without my portable player. I don't want to hear what everybody has to say on the train in the morning, so listening to music is perfect :)

Anyone here download podcasts?

I got a iPod shuffle for my birthday and apart from a few album I got this excellent free series on Brazilian music, by Giles Peterson. (I got it through the itunes store)

Recommended for everyone, but esp. DJs.

Oh and at the flag-waver who'd rather die than buy Apple, you clearly haven't spent ten years in the IT industry working with Windows.

Why exactally are you "sick and tired" of hearing about them Bozo?
Basically all Im saying is enough already with the hype, mission accomplished. They convinced a very specific segment of the market that having gigabytes of music at all times is mandatory. Everyones pretty much made up their minds by now if theyre interested in that or not. Im not complaining about commercials, Im talking about how the IPod and ITunes are used as filler content in the media. Of course, the airheads on TV have to blather and babble about something, they just need to move on to some other new meaningless consumer item. Sorry you asked? ;)

Im almost as sick and tired of hearing about I-Pods and I-Tunes, as I am of hearing about bloggers and the 'blogosphere'. I know most of the people here are young, so it'll skew the results, but lets see how many people actually have one.

I admit, I'm a total podhead. Ever since I got my iPod last December, I can't go anywhere without it, and am downloading music and podcasts like there's no tomorrow. I don't know why you show so much disdain for the iPod. It's allowed me to appreciate music in a manner never before in my life.

I dont hate the IPod, I just wouldnt buy one because of the fact that I find constantly listening to music to be irritating and distracting. But like I said to Narz, my disdain is more about how its oversold and overhyped throughout the media.

Heh... I dont even have an I-pod or a CD-Player.

I dont listen to music. I play video games or when im driving i listen to the news.

I have a 30GB iPod Photo. I have about 7Gb of songs in it, I only listen to music while driving, so it's not like I can't live without it. I usually use it as an external hard drive to store stuff from the uni.
I really don't see why some humans hate everything that is successful. Maybe it's just human nature.

EDIT: Where is the Radioactive Monkey option?

That's every product there is. Cell phones are constantly being advertised. Cars are being advertised. And it's not overhype, because the iPod is exactly everything it's cracked up to be.

I don't have any of those things and I'm a generally happy individual. Imagine what I'd be like if I had all three of those things!

no. I dont even have a mobile phone

Probably not much different, unless you're someone who likes to be defined by the things they own.

I do not smoke Ipods, thank you.
