ArrowNES3: Age's Beginning

The map is fully updated, so let me know if you want different land, as I just guessed as to where you'd prioritize.

I have attempted to amalgamate my background with Popcornlord's, and set some precedents of my own, but vaguely enough that other players will be able to come along and add their own flavor.

House Mayeux
Ruler/Family: Jeauseph II Mayeux, 43. Lydianne Vestino, 35, wife. Michel IV Mayeux, 20, eldest son. Jeauseph III Mayeux, 18, son. Arnauld Mayeux, 15, son. Christine Mayeux, 18, eldest daughter. Valenette Mayeux, 12, daughter.
Nation Biography: Mayeux was the prestige-lacking and largely unknown name of an offshoot of one of the larger and more central great houses of the land prior to the subjugation of the Inulusi. Mayeux distinguished itself for its patriarch's prowess on the battlefield and victory over the Inulusi at the decisive battle of Aestavath. Mayeux established itself, with the consecration of the King, over the peninsula and many of the eastern isles, and became a great house by virtue of its control over access to the Inulusian Isles and its influence over their inhabitants. Over the years, invader brutality to the invaded became a thing of the past, and barring cultural differences the Mayeux became benevolent and well-liked neighbors to the independent fiefdoms of the isles and respected masters to their native subjects. Mayeux was inundated with vassals and bannermen as knights and young lords were granted lands by patronage of the King in Mayeux lands, and were sworn to the Mayeux banner. The Patriarch Mayeux, referred to with affectation by his descendents as "Papa Alex" Alexandre, built his castle on the Isle of Victicus. Since then the Lord of Mayeux has held the honorary title of Lord of the Eastern Isles, and that castle has been called The Islehead.

The Mayeux grew in prestige and power as the full resource wealth of their lands came into view. Hundreds of years of warfare against and subjugation by the Inulusi had prevented the land's native inhabitants from properly taking into account the large mineral wealth brought to the region by the Spine Mountains. Accordingly the Mayeux chartered large numbers of peasants from the Heartlands, and began the construction of large mines across the land, making House Mayeux one of the wealthiest and most influential in the realm during its heyday. However, as the lion's share of wealth and opportunity was on the mainland, it soon became difficult for the Mayeux to rule from Islehead. A series of minor battles were fought during the reign of Lord Michel I of Mayeux against rebellious vassals, resulting in a consolidation of authority and "reshuffling" of the deck of vassals in the Mayeux lands. The loyal family lines selected to champion Mayeux have held the honor up to the present.

Geographically the realm of House Mayeux is divided into four parts: the Northlands, at the very northern edge of the Spine Mountains, foothills leading to plains and coast, the peninsula dominated by the Spine and surrounded on the west and east side of those mountains by idyllic but rocky coastline and the Eastern and Western Isles, secluded and equally idyllic, as well as strategically-important, but resource-barren.

Religion: The Mayeux, being by descent men of the King, follow the traditional religion of the Tenfold Pantheon, worshiping the Ten Deities who embody all the Virtuous Aspects of Man.
Vassals:
Adrian Beisvert, Lord of the Western Isles - Descendant of the minor lord Cristof Besivert who was rewarded with the Western Isles by the King for his service and was pledged to the House Mayeux.
Elisa Moisvery, Lady of Sudra - The battered matriarch of the two southerly isles not claimed directly by House Mayeux in the east, loyal to the House of Mayeux but largely ineffectual. Widowed, her hand is hotly contested by minor lords, knights, etc.
Eduard Josetlar, Lord of Massaveu - Massaveu was established as a fortress many years ago when the Inulusi were first subjugated in the name of the King. It grew into a port of some importance, and its municipal authority and surrounding lands were entrusted by the Lord of Mayeux to the Clan Josetlar, Inulusi who indebted themselves to the Mayeux by their service and loyalty as interlocutors between the natives and the Mayeux.
Frederic Boisral, Lord of the Center - Perhaps the most important and upstanding of the Mayeux vassals, the Lord of the Center is aptly named for his control of the "Central Fortress" built in the early years of the subjugation as a point of defense at the meeting place of the various roads built by the King's men in the northerly lands of the Inulusi. The House of Boisral was entrusted with the control of this fortress, and when Mayeux gained favor among the King, Boisral pledged itself to the lords of Islehead.

House Crest: Dark black banner with a blood red griffin in the center.

House Motto: Blood as thick as iron

I am in. Claiming the north western island and some land south of it on the mainland.

I was finished with my stats and was about to post when a wrong key pressed erased everything and I cannot get it back.

So for now I will fill it out basic and flesh it back out again when I have more time. If possible I would like my color to be Grey

Name/Player Name: House Blackbeard/germanicus12
Location: See above
Ruler/Family: Zed Blackbeard (51)
Noyola Blackbeard (wife, 45)
Ned Blackbeard (son, 32) Lord Supreme General of the South.
-Wife, Jessica Mandor, of House Mandor, 28.
-3 Children, Ked (Son, 10), Marise (Daughter, 8), Kara (Daughter, 5)
Ted Blackbeard (son, 28) General of the White Army
-Wife, Eudoxia Tlön, of House Tlön, 24.
-2 Children, Ned (Son, 5), Jed (Son, 3)
Noya Blackbeard (daughter, 25) (Currently Available.)
Yed Blackbeard (son, 22) Lord High Admiral of the Iron Fleet (Betrothed to Fiona Vilarix (12))
Vassals:
-Kart White, Lord of White Pass (White Pass is an impregnable Fortress that sits on the only highway to the Seat of Blackbeard, the Citadel of Ravenfall. When White Pass falls, so does Ravenfall and it has never fallen in 400 years, a White always sits at White Pass Citadel. It also sits near the major silver mines of Ravenfall. The Whites also pride themselves on being the only true Loyal Lords of Blackbeard, standing next to this powerful house for 500 years without wavering.)
-Morcas Gorgas, Lord of Black Pass (Sister fortress to White Pass, but not nearly as formidable, it stands sentinel over the fertile plains of the South Mainland. There is only one way through Black Pass, if you are attempting to bypass Black Pass, you will encounter miles and miles of deadly swamplands filled with all kinds of monstrous creatures, it is said that if you enter the swamps, you will leave only when your body is black with the mark of death. Hence the deadly name of the fortress. The Gorgas recently acquired the lands from the Blacks whose line ended with the death of Loras Black.)
-Tull Weign, Lord of Yalia (Yalia stands as the last port of call for sailors sailing beyond the Continent, or around the northern icy sea to other ports of call. As a result it is a bustling port city that brings in goods from all around the world. The Weigns have been loyal to House Blackbeard for the last 350 years.)
-Varden Custor, Lord of Alunis (Alunis is the home port of the Irone Fleet, due to the bay holding natural bottlenecks for any encroaching navy which would either find itself shattered among the sharp rocks hidden just under the waves, or pushed against the sheer cliff walls on either side of the narrow bay. Which is also 1 of 2 possible landing sites on the entire island, the other stands the powerful Iron Fortress that watches over an even smaller and treacherous landing zone. The Iron Island also produces all of Ravenfall's Iron.)
-Bartam Meccum, Lord of Wheat Flats (Wheat Flats is precisely what its name implies, it sits watch over the fertile lands which produces Ravenfall's wheat and barley. Its close proximity to Black Pass Fortress and lands does cause some strife within the realm, but Blackbeard's authority is absolute and many Lords respect his word. But every time a Blackbeard Lord passes from the realm, and a new Lord is anointed the dispute flares up again.)
-Isham Yueham, Lord of Goshan Bay (Goshan Bay is a peaceful and serene bay, free of the bustling trade traffic further north and of course the harsh conditions of Iron Bay even further north. In fact Goshan Bay is the complete opposite of Iron Bay, in that it is calm and warm, perfect for suntanning and fishing. It is said that Goshan Bay produces the most beautiful women in the world. Unfortunately Lord Yueham is a bit offish and easily offended, and many Lords refuse do anything with him. Even House Blackbeard tends to leave him alone.)
-Ponder Tulium, Lord of Snow Valley (Snow Valley is a frigid wasteland, that breeds the toughest men and women seen in Blackbeard's realm, maybe even the entire continent, for freezing temperatures frequently dip down to -65F and rarely go over 50F even in the middle of summer. Many lords wonder why Snow Valley even exists when there is nothing produced there but snow. Blackbeard insists on keeping it because it is a place that he can send criminals and law breakers to repent in the harsh climate. And also, Snow Valley breeds the most fiercest warriors that forms the core of Blackbeards army.)
Nation Biography: The Ancient seat of House Blackbeard is the powerful Citadel of Ravenfall, blessed with strong walls and stout defenders from the frigid north, it is said Ravenfall will never fall. Though it has never been tested, for the Fortress at White Pass has always turned away the armies looking to breach Ravenfall's walls. Though should an army break White Pass, chances are it would not have the manpower to dent Ravenfall, and of course there are the Gods of Winter themselves, who also reside in Ravenfall's 3 major Temples.
House Blackbeard prides themselves in Honor and Integrity above all else. This of course has its benefits and downfalls, their high esteem on honor and integrity turns their Lord vassals into powerful allies who likewise see themselves as men of honor and integrity.
The Military of Blackbeard, White Army forms the core of Ravenfall's defense and is a tough army to stare down, while smaller than most armies other kings and lords can raise, they make up for it in toughness and willingness to stand to the end, even in their darkest days. The Grey Army is not quite as tough or stubborn as the White counterparts but what they lack in those they make up for in numbers, the fertile lands they stand watch over provides thousands of young men eager to fight for their lords. Of course the Iron Fleet can always protect Ravenfall, built of sturdy timber and commanded by men of Iron the Iron Fleet is a tough nut to crack especially when fighting them in their home waters where an enemy fleet can always find themselves at a disadvantage in the choppy icy waters of the north.
House Blackbeard demands loyalty and honor from their allies and will return it twofold. They expect their allies to stand with them to the bitter end, for they would do the same.
Religion: Gods of Winter. Old Man Winter (Blesses Military and Weather), Old Lady Winter (Blesses Womenfolk and Harvest), The Twins Winter (Blesses Children, the Sea and other prayers.)

If Patchy, Terrance and Germanicus get their posts done, and anyone else who wants to join does so, I can try to get update one and stats up at some point this week.

House Tlön rule a region called Uqbar.

Sigil: A Peryton
Spoiler Whats a Peryton? :

peryton+a4.jpg

The Peryton is a supernatural winged stag. It is said to have the shadow of a man until such time as it eats a human heart and afterwards possesses its own shadow.

Motto: officially: "Iron Waits" unofficially: "The Winged Spear"

Associated Heraldry: A stag's antler crossing a feather

Colors: Midnight Blue, Silver, Black

Titles: Lords of Uqbar, (more to come)

Lands: The central hill regions and fertile valleys of Uqbar

Spoiler Uqbar :

Maybe i made their lands too big so feel free to limit them or edit as you see fit.

I envision the homelands to be craggy hills and highlands separating the northern and southern seas. The lands of their vassals might be considered 'low-lands' and are probably fertile plains.

Spoiler terrain map :

Lord: Borges Tlön (49)

Family:
wife: Alix (38) of House Clegat, sister to Oberyn Clegat, lord of the Blackhold
children: Vseslivie (m) (28) (wife- (a peasant shepherd - Vseslivie married for love), 3 children (2 boys, 1 girl)), Askold (m) (26) (wife- Anna of the Kabikov clan- for internal stability, 1 child (boy)), Cecilia (24-twin) (married to Reznikov clan for internal stability, 3 children (2 girls, 1 boy)), Eudoxia (24-twin) (married to Ted Blackbeard of the Blackbeard clan, 2 children (sons))

Morphology: The Tlön are pale-skinned and dark-haired with light eyes. Their builds are generally tall with wide shoulders and heavy muscular frames. Many of the men and women of the highlands share similar features but in the lowlands it is different, with smaller frames and darker skin or lighter hair being much more common.

Vassals

Artyom Vitayev- leads the Vitayev clan

The Vitayev have long made their home on the northern shores of ‘Moon Lake’. Like the Tlön, they are genetically descended from the taller, lighter-skinned, dark-haired highland stock. The Vitayev and Tlön in ages past, had a relationship dominated by raiding, occasional trade and fierce competition. As they began to look beyond their borders to the lowlands around them, they have united with the Tlön on numerous occasions, seeing in one another a reflection of their own culture and society. Today the two clans are linked by so many labyrinthine vows of vassalage, marriage and loyalty that they cannot be effectively separated.

The lands of the Vitayev are rich in ore and to a lesser degree silver and the Vitayev are excellent iron-smiths and soldiers from throughout Uqbar dress in armor and wield weapons made in the rich smithies of the southern Vitayev mountains. Less than two decades ago the Vitayev were able to reverse-engineer the qualitative methods of steelworking invented by the Singidun of House Vilarix. Local iron was high in natural carbon and the technique proved very effective in transforming the local iron industry. For three years they jealously guarded the stolen knowledge but the Tlön quickly learned of the technique and today the Tlön, Vitayev and Singidun all practice the unique steel-working technique to produce high-quality steel with flexibility and no brittleness.

Arytyom Vitayev rules from Castle Moonsmithy at the juncture of Vitayev mountains, lake Moon, and the lands of Tarnost and House Draenon.

Alyona Kabikov: leads the Kabikov clan

While the population ruled by the Kabikov share the ligher hair and darker complexion of the lowlanders, the nobility of the clan bears significant influence of the highlander bloodline. The Kabikov are the largest and most influential of the lowland vassals ruling agricultural heartlands surrounding ‘Riverforks’, their wheat feeding not only the highlander population in the western mountains but also being exported to distant coasts throughout the greater kingdoms. In addition to grain, Kabikov lands also serve as lowland pasturage for the great herds of unique Tlön heavy warmbloods during the winter season.

Their population is significant and their loyalty in any military conflict ensures a significant number of levy soldiers to fill Vitayev and Tlön-steel armor. While Lady Aloyona represents the Kabikov clan she does not sit on the throne of Solntse Chertog. That position falls to the second sun of Borges Tlön, Askold, who’s wife, Anna is of the Kabikov clan and daughter to Lady Alyona.

A significant minority of the Kabikov follow the Tenfold faith.

Vladislav Privalov- leads the Privalov in the north-west.

The Privalov clan are an offshoot of the Clegat which broke away during the failed uprising against the Mandon over a hundred years ago. Forced back to the mountains by their former brothers after the Clegat patriarch turned traitor and swore fealty to the Mandon. They retreated to the mountains at the edge of Tlön territory from which they faught a defensive intranicine war against their brothers. When things looked bad for them they sought the protection of the Tlön who quickly brokered a treaty with the Clegat and the Mandon. The treaty signed the break-away Clegat assumed the name Privalov and founded a new life as Tlön vassals.

The Privalov make a living from sheep and goat herding and the sale of woolen textiles. They have adopted the use of windmills throughout their lands and man y a Privalov valley is dotted with numerous wind or water mills turning a machine-loom. They also control the major overland route from Uqbar’s interior to Castle Blackfort in the north.

Kirill Reznikov leads the Reznikov hills of the west.

The third family to boast pure highlander blood, the Reznikov, like the Tlön and Vitayev have taller builds, ligher skin, and darker hair. They, like their cousins, are ancestors of sheep and goat-herders. Unlike the Tlön they did not have mighty sure-footed mountain horses to call upon, nor, like the Vitayev, were their lands as wealthy with iron. Instead they drew their strength from the might and accuracy of their bows and the best and most practiced archers of Uqbar all hail from the Reznikov clan.

For many centuries the Reznikov, as stong and militant as the Tlön were independent of the Tlön or the eastern highlanders. They claimed the lowland Serebov and Tsaplin clans as their vassals and grew rich on the produce of their cattle herds and wheat and barley fields.

Less then three generations ago the Tlön and their then-vassals marched upon the Serebrov and Tsaplin and the arrows and might of the Reznikov were unable to protect the Serebrov or Tsaplin. None-the-less, castle Vysokiy never fell, its high walls protected, as they were, by the withering hail of Reznikov arrows. After the Serebrov and Tsaplin had long capitulated to the Tlön it took another eight years to siege and eventually end the war through starvation and attrition. The lords of Reznikov swore loyalty to the Tlön though are quick to remind them that they were never truly defeated.

The Tlöns have since been very careful to keep the Reznikov close and treat them with a certain respect they normally reserve for themselves or the Vitayev, indeed Lord Kirill’s eldest son is married to Borges’s eldest daughter Ceclia and his wife, Catherine, is Borge’s only sister.

Today the lands of the Reznikov are known for their highland pasture, raising many sheep, while also being dotted with numerous newly developed silver mines.

Evgeny Serebrov of the far western plain

The Serebrov make their homes in the dustier plains of western Uqbar where the lands meet those of the [NPC nation? Living in a really dry area?]. For centuries the Serebrov have been lowland ranchers, moving their herds along the shores of the southern sea and inland between the mountains of the Reznikov and the western steppes.

Despite their excellent light cavalry, the Serebrov were conquered by the Reznikov centuries ago and served as their vassals for generations. When the Tlöns and their allies came, they fell quickly however, their light weaponry having little effect upon the heavily armored easterners.

Today the Serebrov continue to ranch cattle and serve as an excellent source of both salted meats and excellently prepared leathers.

Vasilisa Tsaplin of the north-western hills and southern shores of the north sea

North of the Reznikov lands lie the Tsaplin. For many centuries they were traders, facilitating merchants’ travel between the northern sea and the bounty of Riverforks and the silver mine of the Tlön. They were conquered by the Reznikov centuries ago but like the Serebrov fell to the Tlön when the later arrived with heavy horse and heavy armor.

Today much of the trade that once flowed through their lands has been rerouted north through the homelands of the Tlön themselves. The Tsaplin capital has atrophied as the Tlön focus on matters other than trade and Lady Vasilisa fumes at what she considers opportunities wasted by her lords who see more value in iron and horse then in ships and trade.

None-the-less, Sever Harbor remains a major city and the greatest trading hub on the northern sea within Uqbar. It is a major ship-building site and exports ships throughout the greater lands. They also fish and numerous smaller Tsaplin fishing villages extend far along both the eastern and western coasts.

Sergei Emskikh of the Emskikh (southern lands between the Moon Lake and the southern seas)

A relatively new house made from the careful maneuvering of one of the relatively smaller houses, working closely with House Tlön to increase its prestige, wealth and military power, the Emskikh rule a the southern woods and control the trade routes between River Forks and the Tlön homelands and the southern sea. The Emiskikh capital, Emisk Keep, sits upon the coast and the mouth of the great Uqbar river. As a result they have grown wealthy from trade with the Elsedune and the southern lords.

In addition to trade, the Emskikh control small but agriculturally blessed territories which produce significant wheat and barley. They raise horses similar to those found in Tanstar (Draenan) lands- lighter than the Tlön ones- raised for the open plains and speed, not for carrying armored soldiers in a charge.

Lastly the Emiskikh have a significant proportion of their population which follow the faith of the Tarnost cult of stars.

Biography:

The Tlön are descended from hunters and shepherds. They are highlanders of the local mountains which mean they are tall with long limbs and wide shoulders and thick muscles. They have pale skin and dark hair and usually have pale grey or blue eyes. Both the men and women are physically very attractive though their height means they often tower over men and women of other races.

Their mountains are the home to a unique breed of sure-footed horses that have adapted to steep slopes. They are warmbloods of great stature and endowed with great strength as well as speed. The Tlön were quick to adopt them as mounts and used these to gain a military advantage over their local highland neighbors, many of the smaller ones having since been absorbed into the Tlön clan. The Vitayev remained independent and a sort of competitive culture or raiding but also trading and festitivity grew up between the two highland people.

With time the Tlön’s use of cavalry led to their dominance. The Tlön made extensive use of their southern neighbor’s iron mines to quickly establish a tradition of heavy shock cavalry able to traverse and make their homes in mountains. Using these, they set their sights upon the lowlands and captured the great local capital of TwinForks, burning the keep. They put their own people upon the local throne and ruled as tyrants for several generations before the lowlanders and highlanders became economically and politically inseperable. The lowland tribes reformed around the dominant Kabikov who were quick to swear loyalty to the Tlön in exchange for greater authority over the other lowland tribes and the local economy.

For many decades the Tlön and their vassals lived thusly until the Tlön set their sights westward and waged war upon their highland cousins the Reznikov and their lowland vassals. The war was over in less than a year but the Reznikov themselves held out bitterly, doing their parentage proud. Ultimately these people we also integrated into the dominion of the Tlön.

The Tlön are a warrior-people who’s respect for strength of arms is summarized in their motto, “Iron Waits”. They are also a people of stoic patience, rational and calculating.

The heartlands of the Tlön are highland mountains though the Tlön can be found throughout Uqbar- directly leading and influencing the governance of their vassals. Their subjects have mostly grown accustomed to their heavy-handed rule though not all have come to accept it without (private) complaint.

Economically, in addition to the tribute gathered from their vassals, the Tlön are horse-breeders, silver-miners, iron-miners and sheep and goat herders.

Today they are still very martial and use heavy cavalry extensively, which each of the sworn vassals raising several ‘wings’ of knights. Additionally, House Tlön has its own small private force of elite heavy cavalry, paid for through the tribute of the vassal houses and their own silver and iron mines.

Religion: Silver Stars: Just building on Thomas's here, but effectively a pantheon of elder gods who nurtured mankind during its infancy when the night sky was dark. They retired and became the constellations. Effectively a lot of liturgy and ritual of the Silver Stars pertains to constellation worship/veneration. Each family or individual might take for their patron god a particular constellation. It is said that Borges Tlön worships at a shrine dedicated to the spear-wielding goddess of the hunt, Caeceldi. Some of the lowlands clans worship the Tenfold but this is generally rare in Uqbar.

Thomas: I changed it to be gods not from the stars but the god-stars having taken form. I hope thats okay. Also, no reference to a ship- sort of sounded like sci-fi to me. If not- i'll do something else.

Edit: For the record I just looked at Arrow's map and didn't include any not on there, because I didn't read the thread up to that point. Because I am a doucke.

That's absolutely fine! Regional differences, and all. As for the Sci-fi, yeah, a bit intentional, though of course it's a matter of interpretations: Future people (Conspiracy theorists) will likely look at it and question it, but most proper faithful will agree that that's ridiculous.

The Red Keep (AKA Red Castle) and Rosehold:
Spoiler :
xdMzvoF.png

Ruler/Family: Lord Bairn Walen III (51), Lady Roseah Walen (nee Von Valder) (40), Sons: Heir Apparent Bairn Walen IV (24), Tyonidas "Ty" Walen (20) [Wed to Maura Belcourt, (16)], Vius Walen (18) Daughters: Serria Walen (22), Heida Walen (16)

High Lord Bairn Walen III earned a reputation for being rebellious as a youth, his ultimate act of revolt being his elopement with the youngest daughter of a minor noble. Beginning as an adventurous young man, he is now a taciturn and calculating individual, though he is still jovial enough in his cups. He is of average stature, with curly black hair and green eyes. His children take after their mother for the most part when it comes to looks, being blond, brown-eyed, and tall. Tyonidas has his eyes and height, and Serria has his hair, with blue eyes.

The roses of Walen are representative of the roses that grow in abundance around the Red Castle. Named such because of the rose-colored stone it is constructed with, both the castle and the city walls are this unique color. The city, Rosehold, extends along the banks of both the river and sea it faces, with the Red Castle at the junction of river and sea. The Summer Sea is truthfully more lake than sea, massive though it is, and the Red River is only named such because it begins next to the Red Castle.

Vassals: Lord Radnor, Lord Carmarth, Lord Brecknock, Lord Ludlow, Lord Rhudd, Lord Faust, Lord Krause, Lord Richter.
Kevan Radnor (51)- A good friend of Lord Bairn Walen, Radnor was a ward of the High Lord's family as a child. He fancies himself a comedian, and is thankfully quite funny. As his family is closely related to the Walen family, he is also of middling stature, with curly black hair and green eyes.
Jeor Carmarth (39)- A loud and boisterous man who enjoys a fight and his alcohol. With arms like tree trunks and a barrel chest, he and the rest of his "half-giant" family are as loyal as the hunting dog on their crest.
Petyr Brecknock (70)- A salty man, like the saltwater that daily breaks on the shores of his domain. Of middling height, his line traces itself to the same ancestor as the Radnors and Walens, though one must go farther back than is necessary for the Radnors. Brecknock is an intelligent if withdrawn man, who is a capable ruler.
Iain Ludlow (63)- The Ludlows are a relatively new line, and their bontiful farmland is some of the best in the world- at least, they would have you believe it as such. Nonetheless, their coffers are never empty, and that gold has gone to their heads; Iain is an arrogant and shallow man, although he is respectable enough to his fellow lords and especially to his liege.
Jon Rhudd (38)- The Rhudds are a stolid bunch, often called the Mudds behind their backs because of the bogs they call home, being Lords of the March. Jon Rhudd is another close friend of Lord Bairn, if not as close as Kevan Radnor. They are smarter than they let on, and are quite secretive.
Niko Faust (46)- Even though his family is traditionally a powerful ally to its liege lords, Niko Faust is a dangerous man. He is loyal when it suits him, but is most interested in handling his own affairs. His forest home is a dark and foreboding place, where once it was a golden beacon in the woods. Niko Faust receives little love from his subjects, who are exploited to pay for Niko Faust's endeavors.
Ronald Krause (47)- The Krause family is the other forest family, and Ronald Krause is as unlike Niko Faust as is humanly possible. Ronald is tall, fair, blond, and honest.
Bron Richter (55)- An ancient family who used to be uncontested for size and wealth, three hundred years ago a succession war left half their ancestral territory in the hands of the Ludlows. There is still some animosity between the houses, though intermarriage has settled that a bit. The Richters are proud and economic, caring for their horses and fields more than matters of state. Bron Richter is nonetheless a shrewd man, perhaps second only to Niko Faust in the Autumnland.

Nation Biography: The Autumnlands are a place of magic and mystery, with ancient tales and multitudes of myths. Nobody knows for certain how it began, or fell into the hands of the Walens, but their rule is undisputed; indeed, never in recorded history has there been an internal attempt for the crown. From its black bogs and dark forests to its golden plains and shining rivers, The Autumnlands are a half-wild cornucopia of natural goods. The horses in its plains are among the best, and the corn in its fields is tall and green. its lesser lords have a history of border disputes, though the current peace has lasted longer than any other in recent memory. The people of The Autumnlands are hearty and full of life, and are industrious and down-to-earth.

The southern half of The Autumnlands is more focused on the goods of the forest, with peat, tar and to a lesser extent iron from the bog***, Venison and lumber from the forests, fish and pearls and shipping from the eastern coast, farm products and horses from the more northern plains, and industrial (mainly textile) goods in the western cities, which are also hubs of trade. ***iron and tar can both be derived from messing with peat.

Religion: The Silver Faith. The Silver Song was sung thousands of years ago by the gods, weaving the tapestry of life. The Old Father holds the tapestry, and The Old Mother sings its strings, proclaiming the passage of time. It is said that when the song ends, the world shall end as well. (Let's keep this theme going, silver this and that. regional differences etc.)

OOC: This is primarily a Germany/Wales fusion, if you want to know my inspiration.

OOC: Deusselkerr, may I marry one of your nobles' children to one of my nobles' children?

Nation Biography: The Belcourts married into royalty, a hundred years past. Keeping their heads down after that, they managed to stay off the radar of any major conflicts, nestled on their river domain. Only time will tell how they play these recent events. Mostly trade and bountiful fish and agriculture, as well as a booming mining trade upriver, has kept the Belcourt family moderately rich.

Religion: A mix between the religions of those surrounding us, not very pious.

I did; Kara Mandon, married into the Mercure family.

So, I have a map with mountains, but I don't want to have to reupdate the map up to where we are currently, and then do all the other ones too. So I'm just going to have a seperate mountain map, and a political map.

Other than that, I'll update the first page soon, along with the political map.

Finally, anybody have any advice on how to do inheritance? If someone's heir dies, and they only have a daughter married to the son of someone else, then they have a kid, that kid gets the both kingdoms. How do I manage this merger with two players, one of which would be kicked out?

Here I am. I get the region south of Uqbar, including the south bank of the Great Lake, the whole river to the south (Not that river that flows into the lake, but that which flows into the sea) and also that little lake. If possible, also reaching the southern coastal region.
I'll post the rest later. :)

Renown ? The family whose renown is more, gets a chance at the throne. You could probably do a random check with a RNG checks or something.

Else Civil War !!
:mwaha:

True. But I'm more worried about randomly kicking one player out and doubling the size of another.
