Christos you will do good if you ignore posts which are mostly there to troll you.

I would think that any serious historian, or knowledgeable student of history, knows that the question is not that clear-cut. Personally i could not care less what other people think about it tbh.

Are you referring to his absolutely groundless assertion that the Macedonians were not a separate ethnicity that was hellenized, where he even claimed that Mongol assimilation into Chinese culture did not happen?

I think I have to rectify my opinion of you in this case.

I met some Manchus when I was in Manchuria but nowadays telling people you're Manchu is kind of like when Americans say their great-grandmother was Cherokee, it doesn't really mean anything. I've heard there are still some villages where old people speak the language but they've almost entirely been assimilated.

The Emperor Puyi said in his autobiography that he had classes in the Manchu language but he never really learned it. I don't know about the more typical Manchu.

Macedonians are greeks. Thats my opinion and you cant change it. Okey, now lets return in topic people. Thank you.

Either way, ancient Macedonians were not Slavic. And that's the only thing that matters!

I agree with Lone wolf but please stay on topic or i will ignore you.

It's not really about changing opinion but offering evidence to the contrary. It may be a question that's impossible to answer satisfactorily since it all would depend on what your exact definition of Greek is.

Any one has to ask any questions?

Cough, greek history thread, cough.

It has bearing on whether the Macedonians were Greek. Actually, it would kinda help your case, at least for the later Maks (not that they are a "sub-group", though), if you'd just recognise that some Mongols did become Chinese, and so did the Manchus.

Ignore you until you stop all these with the east asia nations.

Fortunately your opinion isn't important.

But enlighten me, what's your requirement to consider a historical polity "Greek"?

1) To have greek identity.

2) To have greek culture.

Language isnt so importand.

1) Because Britain would give the Ionian islands.

2) Because all Great Powers were monarhy.

Otherwise greece would have become democracy.

Why do you think that Greece would have become a democracy
