How many people can you fit in a commie apartment block? 5 and 9 stories assuming parents share a bedroom and 1bed room per child?

Don't know and to be honest,
Spoiler :
I'm with Magnus on this one :)
That's very depressing: I read that Navalny was extremely popular in the West and especially here on CFC.

More popular in west means less popular in Russia. It's why he went back otherwise he's just in political exile.

Magnus is incredibly strong, Nepo is losing 2 points after 8 games :(

Hope at least women's crown will be brought to Russia in next couple of years.
Sasha is more than capable of doing it.

There's still time for him - but 14 games? The only WC match shorter than this I can remember is Lasker-Schlechter, way back in 1910!

Two previous matches, 2016 against Karyakin and 2018 against Caruana were 12 games. Both ended with tie-breaks though.

That very long game reminded me of the days of Tigran Petrosian and his microscopic pawn pushing and positional play.
I preferred watching or playing through flamboyant games (not suitable for World Championships, of course), or Mikhail Tal's approach.

Q for 'a Russian'.

Why does Russia always seem expansionist?
Russian Empire, Russian led Soviet Union, Putin Era.

It doesn't seem particularly expansionist to the Russians.
Russian Empire was about as expansionist as other empires of that time. And since 2-nd half of 19 century, Russia is mostly losing territories.
As for why it seems expansionist to the people in Europe and North America, I believe geopolitical rivalry and propaganda plays major role here.

I've seen that the drive to the Pacific was seen as defensive. Basically due to the tatar yoke.

Most of the rest is good ol fashioned imperialism.

According to Putin's advisor, Russia expands, because laws of physics demand it.
Or, in other words, because its only known way of survival is pushing its internal chaos onto its neighbors.

Social entropy is highly toxic. It is not recommended to work with it at our home. It needs to be taken out somewhere far away. Export for disposal in a foreign territory./.../ Throughout the centuries, the Russian state, with its austere and sedentary political interior, has survived solely thanks to its relentless pursuit of its own limits. It has long forgotten how to survive, and most likely never knew how to survive in other ways. For Russia, constant expansion is not just one of the ideas, but the true existential of our historical being./.../
Russia will expand not because it is good, and not because it is bad, but because it is physics.

How much higher are prices in Magadan than rest of Russia?

11:44 mark 1-2 minutes.

Prices seem similar to NZ prices with some things costing double. Loaf of bread was half the price milk, almost the same price, insane price for cabbage.

Going through the cheaper basics, it is roughly equivalent to the UK. I guess wages are lower.

Pasta $0.84/Kg
Sugar $0.73/Kg
Buckwheat porridge $1.75/Kg
Milk $1.43/Litre
Cabbage $0.95/Kg
Carrots $1.29/Kg

Average Russian wage is something like 1/4th our minimum wage.

I can't recall exact prices here but the milk is a little bit cheaper.

Carrots $2.99 usd/kg so $2.10 usd approx. Cabbage $3, buckwheat porridge not really available but $6/kg but you would eat oats realistically.

Milk (cheap) 1.89 NZD litre, $2.40 average so $1.33-$1.68 approx.

Buckwheat's expensive here but never had it. Hardcore video though beautiful area in a way.
