I wonder why Transwomen are more common than transmen?
I have a set of specific questions, and I assume that I'm not violating forum rules by having an academic discussion on the physical details of gender reassignment. (If I am, may I be the first to say that it is ridiculously silly since this isn't a discussion intended to be pornographic or obscene in any way.)
[1.] When did you have your gender reassignment surgery?
[2.] If you did not have the surgery recently, do you wish that you had done it when medical technology has improved the process?
[3.] How are the penis and testicles produced? Are they produced surgically from skin grafts, or is there something like a transplant?
[4.] Do the penis and testicles have sensitivity?
[5.] Are you able to produce semen and ejaculate like naturally-born males?
My final question may seem silly, but I have wondered about this from time to time.
[6.] Has your car insurance changed since you've legally changed your status from female to male? (For those unfamiliar, car insurance companies have utilized statistical data of male and female drivers and have adjusted their rates accordingly.)
Mark, I presume you are in the US, judging from the website you linked for us.
What is the process like in there, who payed for your transformation and was there some requirements other than you just saying that you wanted it?
I presume the hormone treatment starts before surgery, how long before?
Did you have any problems due to the hormone treatment, increased aggressiveness, mood swings, anything like that?
At what point did you get your legal status changed?
I notice from the photos on the website that you used to dress quite feminine, any comment about that?
What is the average age for the op?
I'm guessing, so please correct me if I'm wrong, but the realisation and the decision to go for the op must have developed and matured over a long period. Before it was fully clear in your mind, what did you regard your sexuality to be?
And you look a lot better as a man than you did as a woman![]()
I actually think I've seen you before!![]()
Can one tell you're a transman by looking at you on the streets?
If so, what looks do you get?
Mark, we did one of our English 101 essays about transexuals/homosexuals/bisexuals and the unecessary discrimination and phobia they face, and we did another essay about gender identity construction. I think it is nice that you can be so open about your views and your change. It is all beyond me though, I can not understand why a person would desire to change their sex. Yes, I know it is based upon hormonal concentrations and genetic make-up, but would you say there was any "nurture" involved in your decision at all, even the slightest?
I don't know if this is too personal but what the hell:
Is it possible to have children with your wife? Do you have the corrext 'parts' and do they function properly? Sorry if this is personal, I'm just curious.
No can do, do not have semen therefore, cannot produce a little Mark. I would have loved too. But the wife and I are getting old. I am 42, she is 45. We own our own business work lots of hours, wouldnt have time for a little one. Nothing is to personal.
I wonder why Transwomen are more common than transmen?
I always have thought male-->female was the more common change.
Would you agree with this or disagree.. and any thoughts as to why the numbers skew either way?
Which theological position do you find to make the most sense: that God made a mistake, that you "played God" and went against his will, or that you were meant to go on this journey, or that you simply exercised your free will?
Would you say that society views transmen and transwomen equally, or do you see differences in perception toward the different (trans)genders?
Not thought of taking one of your eggs (or nucleus from elsewhere) and your wifes? You could at least have daughters.
Nutur vs Nature debate. There have been much reseach on this, to the point a child whose circumcision went bad, was made into a female. The theory was you nuture the child as a female, she will be a female. Boy they where wrong. The child fought when he reached puberty. Hence, he transitioned back to being a man. You gender is hard wired in your brain. Pre programmed material. My mom did everything humanly possible to make me a girl. I was so manly and boyish in every way. It took me 39 years to finally fix what was broken, but nothing or anyone could brain wash me to beleive I was a female.
Its all nature..... My opinion..

I do not feel as a mistake, however, I do feel as a deviation from the typical fetal development. I am on a journey, I am not playing God just simply, aligning what was miss aligned. Just like a child born with a cleft palot, spina bifida or any condition that can be repaired. Mine was a condition that I repaired. I am a spritiual man, I was guided by my maker from the very start. Now I share my story to help others, in many ways.
Women and Men are so different, yet so alike. We can help each other out, by understanding each others differences and sameness. I feel I hold many answers to many questions. I want to make a difference in this world.
