ask a transman anything

A question that was missed...

Where did you and CFC/OT come together?

There is an online news forum that has all the up to date forums regarding transsexuality. I was intreged by your forum, and decided to join and answer questions.

Whos your maker... are you and particular religion or just believe in human spirit and a higher power?

I am spiritual, do not follow organized religion. I believe in God, I prefer to call him the universe, higher power, the all of alls. I believe we all have our mission and journey, and to find out what it is, we need to listen to our hearts. We need to connect to one another, and heal. Every person that heals creates the greater healing of the world.

Hey Mark,

You said nothing's too personal, soo....... its time for some hardcore willy questions:mischief:

Does your penis look the same as a regular one, or could somebody tell that it's been constructed with surgery, just by looking at it? How big is it? Does it have a well defined glans and shaft? Do you have a foreskin? Do you have the strechy wrinkley skin on your scrotum? Do you have a lot of scar tissue in that area? How long did it take for you to get used to?

I went with the smaller version, which was hormonally grown. It does look just like a penis, but it is my own. It becomes erect, I still have the forskin, but its only reaches 2 1/2 inches hard. I have not had the scrotum implants yet. It takes a good 3 months as per doctors order to use it, with the mateidolplasty kind. The other it can be upto one year.

Do you like the fact that you got something down under instead of up there?

Okay, I am not sure I understand the question. I am glad I had my breast removed, they felt out of place and were not me. If thats what you mean. I enjoy having my package, as small as it is, its mine, and it works.

Wow, I just seen your photo and you seem like a proper, unchanged male! Good job. :goodjob:

What was your name before this operation?

Maritza Delcarmen Perdomo

I was born in Havana Cuba, I came to the US, when I was 4 years old.

I changed my name legally in November of 2003. Surgeries, were on December 22, 2003.

Okay, i hope my question isn't too personal. So you can have sexual intercourse, but you can't ejaculate, right? So when does it stop? I mean you can't have orgasms, or am i wrong.

a random question - receeding hair.. how did that happen? I thought that was genetic.. and as much as the change has been amazing (looked at your website pictures) you didnt scramble your DNA.. so where has the pattern male baldness come from?!?

I do have orgasms, but without ejaculation. The orgasmic nerve is the one responsible for an orgasms. I reach a climax just like everyone else, with the exception of the semen, since I have no testicles. The orgasmic nerve triggers the release of semen, but the sensation you feel when climaxing is due to the nerve which creates the feeling of well, you know.... oooh ahhhh and stuff.

The use of testosterone will create male pattern baldness. It creates DHT which literally chokes the hair folicle, it starts by thining out, then falls off. My dad is totally bald. So I knew that was my fate. You see its all about the hormones. Male and female we start out the same, the hormones are the ones that create the secondary characteristics.

When a genetically born female takes male hormones, she becomes a man, and visa versa.

Hormones in a female to male create 80% if not more of our changes. From the deepening of the voice, to the body hair growth, to the baldness, body shape, face restructure and so on. Its like a young boy going through puberty. Prior to puberty most boys have soft skin like girls, they have vertually no body hair, and their male characteristics do not kick in until you get the surge of testosterone.

The remaining changes take place with surgery, the removal of the breast and the lower plumbing.

I meant, do you enjoy having a package instead of having breasts?

I admire your journey through life, but my reserved position has always been: why not just try to be satisfied with what nature you has given, and make best of it? You say you are a spiritual man and have trust in your Maker but how could you trust Anyone who put you in the wrong body? Doesn't make sense to me.
But i believe the universe is indifference and everybody has to make best of her/his (, typed this out of habit then realized it's typical for you) situation and you certainly did!

Heck yeah. The only way I can explain it is if you were to wake up tomorrow morning and your usual genitals and characteristics were gone. But your brain remained the same. Your thoughst, your likes, dislikes and the essense of you was their. But now you are forced to live your life with the physical sex that feels wrong. That you dont relate too, because it feels foreign to you. You see, I have always identified as a boy a man, my brain was hard wired that way. We all come with a preprogramed brain to feel as a boy or a girl. The other is just secondary characteristics that in a typical situation matches with our brain. But its not like that for everyone. So sorry to ramble. I am happier than chicken..... I finally feel whole and complete. I feel right, like everything is in place.

I understand your point, but here is why. If nature has a pre set system where a fetus requires certain hormonal interaction to develop into a boy or a girl, as I have mentioned in my prior posting. We all start out as females, its the default. If your father has the Y chromosome, the sry gene that attaches to that chromosome will create adrongen. Now sometimes the x chromosome has the sry gene, its not always a perfect system. The brain can have a androgen bathing, but the bodies receptor did not comunicate therefore the brain becomes a boy brain and the body continues the default systema as a girl. Now my maker as well as yours has made many mistakes, hence our world and the different conditions we see our beloved children face. Nature does make variations, and falls from the typical development many times. The blind, deaf, cerebral paulsy, autism, et...

Its not a matter of being satisfied, its a matter of not being able to live because its all wrong. I lost my childhood, no one could ever bring that back to me. I lost my adolesent years, no one can replace that. I lived prisoner in the wrong body for 39 years. To try to please society, my love ones, and my maker. He knows how much I have suffered, he lead me to my healing path, he gave me the wisdom and the doctors to make me whole.

I dont know if I could make you or anyone understand the pain, and suffering I went through. How much happier I am now as a person.

I don't hate my maker, he has a reason for doing what he did. I think I am on this journey for a reason. I believe that I will help many people realize many things, yet, if I had not been born this way, my life probably would not have the meaning it has today.

Thanks for explaining, this sounds quite convincing to me. :)
