Ask somebody with poor vision

I have considered laser surgery, and have been informed that I would be a poor candidate for such a procedure.

I've been considering it, but I've heard that the in the long long-term (10 years after the surgery) there maybe some regression with worse effects than when it started.

It seems you've been dealt a really tough hand, with having poor vision, a strong speech impediment, asbergers syndrome, inability to stand for long periods of time, low IQ (I'm not saying you do but you've said this), extreme sensitivity to smells, that's all I can remember but maybe some others.

Yeah. Sometimes I wonder if my mom got exposed to something when she was pregnant with me. Or if the doctors dropped me on my head and never told anyone.

Have you ever lost your glasses? Isn't that annoying as hell?

Only once. And yeah it was as I couldnt find them myself. But now I always keep them in the same places when i go to sleep or to take a bath/shower so i can find them easily by feeling around. Once in awhile they fall to the floor (in my sleep i sometimes bump against the nightstand). One time I didnt realize and stepped on them and snap went the frames and "Oops" I went. (I have really large feet so this is to be expected.)

Well, I'm adversely affected by loud or harsh noises and the smell of coffee or deodorant makes me want to gag. The slight wiring differences of our brains has a significant effect over neuro-typicals.

If anybody has questions for a guy without the eye lens in his right eye, go ahead. The left eye just has astigmatism. The funny thing about the latter is both my parents and grandparents (both sides) have normal vision. Must be a recessive gene.

Or not too genetic and maybe environmental cause.

What does the loss of the eye lens do?

It's very, very blurry.

Not correctable with glasses?

Well whatever it is I cant be offended because I have never heard of it

It's an animated cartoon, a parody of a man who's narly blind and completely oblivious to the world around him.

i dont see why I would find that offense

Have you ever broken your glasses in a strange way?

Many years ago when I was at college I had done my washing including my sheets. It was raining outside and I did not have money for the dryer so I hung them up in my room. I hung the sheet off my book case and used a tap that I had lying around (as one does) to stop it sliding off. Latter I had a shower and had taken off my glasses and put them on my bookself. When I went to get them I accidently moved the sheet which pulled the tap off the top of the bookshelf. Unfortunately the tap landed on my glasses and broke one of the lenses.

Not really. The nose-pads once fell off. And I once broke them by stepping on them with my bare feet (if you're wondering how I managed that, I have pretty large feet and I've been known to break other things with them).

I have never had a problem with my nose pads.

But once I was sat at the bar in a pub in Dartford in Kent reading the newspaper. Suddenly my vision in my right eye went blurry. I put my hand up to my face and discovered that the right lense had fallen out. I did not feel it drop out, they were plastic lenses. Luckily it was not damaged and I found the screw but it was a right pain trying to find something to screw it back in again.
