This alliance is an alliance of protection, like any other 1 to 1 alliance, except this is for many nations. Hello fellow Europeans. We have heard of your disliking in this alliance. Your leaders are your leaders, not I. We are in this alliance together, as one, not being dependant on others for anything. This alliance is to help each other in times of need. If you are attacked, your neighbor will help you, not fight against you. If you are walking down the street, your very good friends are you allies. All of a sudden, an ugly man comes and attacks you, snatching your goods and running away. Your good friends, or allies will have your back, and help you in your times of need, to bring this man to justice.

This is what our alliance is about. We work together, to bring peace and justice to our region. Help your nation get better, if needed, protest against issues peacefully, not violently. We have yet to make any decisions in this alliance and you judge our actions already. I do not rule this alliance, I have only started it, along with Jason the King of France (I dont know your IC name). All decisions will be made for the good of all nations, not just one, and you hear this from me, whom you judge to make this alliance only for the good of me.

Let us work together, unite, bring our nations to become the best in the world. Take pride in your nation's goals and the steps they take to achieve them. It is our time, let us sieze it and take advantage of it. Let us work together!

ooc: amon, arent the spanish and portuguese been at odds forever? Why did this not happen when they made a simple alliance together? That could have been a nice hint.

-new ship, junks: a large ship with huge guns and cargo space, the downside is that it's slow. It's perfect for long ocean voyages
-Spend 4 economy on junks
-begin project, Chinese Naval Rebirth (+5 economies worth on junks and better sailors and officers)
-lift the ban on large ships and on Chinese citizens traveling on ships
-increase army by 1
-spend 1 economy on education
-spend 1 economy on equipment on 1000 Good soldiers,1
-increase army training by 1 economy
-invade Tibet with 250,000 Good,1, tell the ppl there that we're here to help the Dalai Lama regain his karma. Pass out small gifts to show them the splendour of China as well as sending teachers to teach the Tibetians the way of the Chinese.

-lower taxes on industries and small time farmers while increase taxes on the large landowners
-grant Portugal rights to the Southern Ports of China in return that Portugal doesn't pursue the Macao issue.

Tokyo was finished, and was an amazing sight. As Tokugawa Iomoto had expected, it was huge. Compared to it, the rest of Japan looked like a bonsai garden--which was strangely appropriate, considering that on the grounds of the new Tokugawa Palace was an actual bonsai garden that was modeled after the islands. In a way, it symbolized that in much the same way as anyone kept his own garden, the Shogun controlled all that happened in Japan, planting his seeds, grafting branches, and removing particularly stubborn weeds.

The news of the Western raid, however, had made his blood boil. Not that the raid had actually managed to do anything harmful (other than scare a few dozen residents), but that his navy had been unable to intercept the ship responsible for this attack.

"Mitsu!" he cried out to one of his servants.

"Yes, my lord?"

"Bring me Admiral Irimitsu, and fast!"

"Yes, my lord."

Minutes later, the admiral was brought before the great Shogun.

"My lord Shogun," the admiral began, bowing as he spoke. "What is it that you desire of me?"

Tokugawa Iomoto had that stern look on his face that he always had when discussing business. "Admiral Irimitsu, you are one of my most loyal subjects, are you not?"

"With all certainty, my lord."

"Well, I have a project for you. You are aware that only a few nights ago one of our coastal villages was attacked, are you not?"

"Yes, my lord Shogun."

"Well, I want to make sure that this never happens again." As he said never, his fist slammed against the armrest of his seat--only the Emperor's place of honor could be called a throne, regardless of who actually sat in the seat of power. The force of the impact managed to rattle a few china dishes on the wall.

"And what shall you have me do, lord Shogun?"

"My plan is simple. We shall strengthen our fleet and let the Westerners know that we mean what we say. I commision you to oversee the building of new ships and the protection of our islands."

"I hear and obey, my lord Shougn."

-Begin the construction of 3 additional Buss' and 2 Venetian Galleys. If you can't build 'em all in one turn, then put the rest in a build queue of some sort. Build the cheaper ones first.
-Step up the frequency of shore patrols. If any ships show up in our waters, consider them pirate vessels and deal with them like you would any other such vessel. EXCEPTION: Ships of other Oriental nations (China, Dai Viet, etc.) are allowed safe passage through Japanese waters, but the ports are still closed to them.

It seems as said by France, that the God above us does not want this alliance to happen, times would have been good, but oh well. In return, we offer everyone trade with Denmark, and maybe a seperate MPP. We always love good relationships with our neighbors, and wish to maintain that any way possible. :)

No, we shall allow your ships safe passage through our waters. However, Japan is still closed to all nations' merchant traffic (even yours), so, as a word of advice and nothing more, don't try docking in our ports.

And what's that Queztal Age thing? Is it the "missing link" between Injin and Colonial ages?

As for UEN, surprising as it is, there WAS a monk in this time who had an idea of an European monarchistic "league of nations", with the purpose of brutally slaughtering republicans, revolutionaries and liberals, and carving up the kingdoms who don't join or who don't send money.

Chapter Three: Interlude: Chapter Three: Interlude...

Year 4000 BC

The civilization is born! Amongst the first cultures is the Harappan culture. But it is not like the other, for all the Harappans live like the dead...

But that was another story, completely irrelevant to our story.

Year 1617

Amonsgt the many cultures and civilizations of the world is the Queztal League, founded on the idea that people live in death, and in afterlife they are alive. And that culture extends it's grasp in all directions...

Year 1617. Mexico. Near a church somewhere in the countryside

The priest is preaching to the local natives. He reads to them the New Testament. The natives listen. The priest sees their eyes, and is secretly scared, but continues reading as if nothing happened.

He stops. The eyes of the natives are as if they are dead... He mutters "Jesus Christ..." and raises his cross, hoping that the Devil leaves the natives.

The natives get closer... They start chanting "Life in Death! Life in Death! Life in Death..."

The priest hits one of them with a cross, the cross is met by a wooden stick and breaks it, but the natives march on, and chant...

The priest collapses. The natives continue moving, over his body, wrecking his bones. Amongst the natives is one of the Few, the Returning One. He gave them the sign, that the priests have no magic power, and why follow these weaklings then, while a wise and powerful being is near them, and he defeated the priest's God as the Queztal defeated the Old Gods?

Mexico is near rebellion...
