The legislation isn't really out of date. The legislation that covers game ratings were put in place in the last 10-20 years. The problem is, that the legislation put in place was out of touch with reality from the beginning.

Has anyone read the legislation? It isn't out-of-date or out-of-touch at all. Its merely broadly worded, like most legislation. The problem doesn't lie in how the legislation has been constructed, the tax code for example gives the tax department some truly frightening powers but the department tends to eschew using them. The issue lies more in how that powers that have been granted the committee have been used. They haven't been abused per say, but the members have opted towards using them with far more abandon than most other government bodies.

your right, 20 years ago i was playing space envaders at the pub, a mobile phone was a status sybol, and was clipped to your belt, to big for the pocket, and the people writting the legislation, had secutaries to handle thier E-Mail, they didn't want one of them 386 things on their desk. so is it any wonder it was out of touch with reality, when people still refused to use ATM's, they would rather queue inside the bank, people were discusing if it was safe to buy things not on the internet, with a card, but didn't quite trust 7/11, 10 years ago the started to think about comming to grips with

20 years ago, Leisure Suit Larry 1, 2, and 3 had all been released. Games for the adult already existed.

If you were playing space invaders in 1990, your pub needed an update.

Wow, this is kind of weird/unexpected, at least from my perspective.

Who determines what a small breast is? I assume it's probably some well-paid bureaucrat and the Ministry of Moral Defence.

He views all the pictures in his office. In his dark office. With the doors locked. With the blinds drawn. And tissues on his desk. And hand sanitizer in his drawer. Oh yes he views them. He views them very well indeed.
