I actually have the santa hat picture I use on all the pictures saved so its easy to resize and sometimes rotate and copy/paste

Could someone possibly get the white in my avatar transparent? I gave it a try twice so far using online manuals but it just didn't work.
But please without a Santa hat

Any chance you could do something with this picture instead? It has more head space:

What's the best format to save avatars in because my avvies always turn out lower quality than what's saved in paint.

Myself, I always use .png

I just tried png, it didn't work. I think my file was too big or something, 'cause my avvie was way smaller and lower quality than what it should've been.

In Paint.NET I load it up and then use the "Magic Wand" tool to select the white and then press Delete key. You sometimes have to mess with the tolerance (its on the top toolbar). You have to save it as PNG or GIF to make the transparent

Dont use Paint, its compression is very messy. I use Paint.NET. I use PNG in there, there are settings in the program to make it smaller.
