Barbarossa II - eastern front

Some information about the scenarios that i'm currently developing for this game:

- Barbarossa : situation at june 22th 1941. Lasting until summer 1943 -
victory condition:domination and conquest
Thema:the campaign in the east
locked alliances with only one free nation: Bulgaria

- Kiev : situation at august 1st 1941 - Lasting until spring 1942 -
victory condition: point scoring
Thema:blitzkrieg in Ukrainia
locked alliances (Bulgaria out of the game)

- Operation Typhoon : situation at october 1st 1941 - Lasting until spring 1942
victory condition: point scoring
Thema:german attack on Moscow
locked alliances (Bulgaria out of the game)

- Soviet Counter-Attack of winter : situation at december 1st 1941 - Lasting until spring 1942
victory condition: point scoring
Thema:soviet counter-attacks during the winter 1941-42
locked alliances (Bulgaria out of the game)

- Fall Blau : situation at may 15th 1942 - Lasting until spring 1943
victory condition: point scoring
thema:german operation during the summer of 1942. As german player will you attack on Moscow, on Leningrad or on Stalingrad/Baku for your summer offensive ?

thema: german 6th army is encircled in Stalingrad. As german player will you be able to join your forces and liberate the besieged army?

victory condition: domination or conquest or diplomacy for minor countries -
free alliances but ussr has a locked war with germany
thema: liberation of Ukrainia

- Operation Bagration : situation at june 15th 1944 - Lasting until spring 1945
victory condition: domination or conquest or diplomacy for minor countries -
free alliances but ussr has a locked war with germany
thema:soviet offensive in Bielorussia

- Götterdämerung : situation at january 1st 1945 - Lasting until spring 1945
victory condition: point scoring or conquest
locked alliances
thema:as german player will you be able to stop the soviet rollercaster?


All of these scenarios are developed simultaneously and will be available at the same time i think.

They have the historic order of battle on the date indicated and will contain a new map for which you can see some previews by clicking on the link mentioned in my earlier message.

If anybody thinks he can help me, it would be greatly appreciated
 
I'd love to help, but have no programming skills, but could certainly help with french-english translation, etc...

By the way, look forward to any/all of the scenarios you list.

My wireless broadband is down at home and am sourcing a new provider. Have never pbem'ed a game but would be well up for a shot once I get my "net" sorted at home!

Your help would be greatly appreciated for translating the civilopedia from french to english.
Civilopedia is a text file...not very difficult to translate, ...but very long to do for a one man.

Yes it's a bug but easy to solve

1) go there ...your directory of civ3\conquests\conquests\EST\Art\Units\PzIVF1HON

Here you can find a file named Pz4DAttackA.wav copy it

2) paste it there :

your directory of civ3\conquests\conquests\EST\Art\Units\PzIIIM

AOL Boradband have got me waiting for another week for hookup, but would definately be in touch then.

Gonna have a go againh next week on this, but after I remove the buildable fortresses, that the soviets spent all their time building before instead of churning out tons of units.
 
I'm currently working on the scenario "22th of june 1941" based on the new map.
Deployment of units is very long... I hope i will have something playable in about 2 weeks or 1 month

Hello!

I must say, that i like your mod!!! So many units and(!) so many questions... :)
Some units, like the late models of the T-34 don´t have animations when they move or they only have animations when they attack (like the panther). is this normal?
How can i build the neige. Do I have to build a wonder? If yes, where? i think i´ve tried everything, but i cannot build it.

Some units are not fully animated. It's normal.
I've done some units myself but i haven't any 3d software to complete animations :sad:

"Neige" ("snow" in english) is only available in pbem version of the game that's why you can't build such units in solo version.
Why? Because AI don't know how to handle those special units

Is it possible to do something with those units? I´m talking about their sound, sometimes it is anoying to listen to them :( Tanks sound more like Lasercannons an not like tanks ;)
 
Some sounds bugs. Don't know why because they have the same characteristics as others
You can replace wav files for the units if you want... I will try to solve this problem in a next patch
 
hAD TIME OFF AT CHRISTMAS SO RESTARTED....

Once again I removed Germany from any alliance and went to town on my southern neighbors. I leave finland alone as they serve for a nice buffer in the north.

(I also disbaled building fortresses)

Then in early 1942 went at it with the russians. Tried a few different things like amphibious landing. Got some initial gains before soviet juggernaut appeared. They keep sending stacks of 30+ units, I weaken them with my doras and leopold artillery, they destroy them. Each turn I destroy about 100-200 units

In 10 turns of war I have destroyed just about 2000 units, but they have stacks and stacks that are wandering about just outside my new conquests. They have not struck a city yet, but they have about 7 stacks of 40+ t34s and a great deal of 13a13d parachutists.

I thought I would defeat their army before I advance on more cities, but the bloodfest continues.

Buildings seem to take too little time and the scenario above anything emphasizes unit building (I am building about 25 PanzIVFs 18a16d every turn).

Soviets seem to want to strike straight west towards Berlin (towards lublin, varsovice (sp?) but this is a heavily swapy/wooded area and it only serves to slow down their armor
