neither . The moneymaker is Barbie . But seeing it might create an unfortunate impression of being a dimwit , so Oppenheimer is pushed forward to make you look and feel like cerebral . It is a media operation actually , pushing people to see both .
in any case , ı have never liked Oppenheimer , the actual person . Feeling high with harnessing the power of gods (July '45) he was already in depression (August '45) after learning the monopoly in knowledge was never real , with Heisenberg actually sabotaging the Nazi effort with maximum effectiveness with minimum footprint . Which then went on to cause deaths and stuff (Rosenbergs to begin with) as village idiots like Truman wrecked one move after another to contain the genie of Jewish Physics as Adolf's lot used to call it . Oppenheimer didn't have the power he assumed he had , irritated all kinds of people , hence the Cold War and the cowboys . Easily matched in so many other countries .
Barbies fun but there's a lot going on with its themes and satire.Although I'm not planning on seeing either in the theater (just not enough interest, not an aversion to going to the theater fwiw), I am absolutely looking forward to watching Barbie on streaming when it's available. I'll probably watch Oppenheimer at some point because it seems interesting (I just hope no one spoils the ending for me!), but Barbie looks absolutely fun.
Oh, agreed - that's what makes it look entertaining. If it was just "A Day in the Life of Barbie" movie it'd be boring. But it looks (again, just my impression from trailers, no spoilers here) more like The LEGO Movie, which I enjoyed.
