Just a little suggestion for you sig, Sahkuhnder. Maybe add that we are 518 out of .. how many teams are there? 4000? 40000? That'd make it a bit more impressive, in my opinion.

Done.

We have a productive team and should be proud of it. Maybe as El_Machinae once suggested players of Civ know the value of research and we all have computers so we make a good group to contribute to such a project.

Someday when these diseases are all ancient history and no longer disable and kill people we can look back at this and know we did our small part to help cure them.

If you are reading this and considering helping too please do. The program just runs in the background of your computer and uses the unused, otherwise lost CPU time of your machine. It does some very complex math equations that help researches at Stanford University gather data and try to find cures for a group of diseases.

If you have any questions just post them on this thread. :)

I'll join, and contribute 2, occasionally 3 computers to the task.

Hopefully that helps a bit.

Welcome aboard!! :goodjob:

And in the travails of the last couple weeks (flooding, blackout, high-level staff visits) my daily average seems to have dropped a bit, I'll have to hunt down the machines that aren't pulling their weight... :badcomp:

Consiudering what I have achieveds with one pc (single corde cpu) I'm sure it will help.

On a sidenote: i just downloaded the AMBER core, its working now, but doesn't show a project number. Any ideas?

The Amber core 1861 never showed a project number on the screen for me either (except in the Log file) but it seemed to load, process and report just fine all the same. I don't think there's anything to worry about.

And welcome to our new teammates. :)

I just completed a fold, but when I check user statistics, it says I have no points and havn't done anything yet. What's up with that?

Give it time.

As Godwynn mentioned it takes about an hour to show up on this list and up to three hours to show on this even better list.

And welcome. :)

Unless the program complains you probably don't have to worry about that, but if you mess up with team and/or name like me you may get credited a different place than you expected ;)

Thanks, for a moment I thought all of my work had gone to waste.

I don't think it went to waste but he's some questions to help locate your work.

What user name/donator did you use (right click > configure)?

Do you have 47958 for your team number (right click > configure)?

Does your black display screen with the data and the picture show: Finished WUs: 1?

It appears to be all good now, I just don't think it had updated itself.

Good Going TeamCFC!

I agree, we are donig excellent.

A side note though: Some of my EA games keep crashing to desktop when I fold, thus I have had to stop folding so I can play them. If your games crash, but they do not normally crash, then you have two choices:

1.Don't play the game.

2. Stop folding and restart when you are done.

Thank you for listening to this public service announcement, now here are your regularly schedualed spam-fests ;)

I might tone down my folding, getting a bit worried because my tower is getting louder and louder...

One of your cooling fans may be about to go. Any chance of opening it up and identifying the loudest fan, or possibly just taking a can of compressed air to the dust buildup?
