Beginning of the World As We Know It: A Test

I find it suprisingly ironic that the Freeland raiders took some slaves even though the cities name is 'Freeland.'

Also, I find it ironic that the Mt. Pleasant area was 'unsuitable for farming.' In reality right now its almost entirely fields around here (And yes, I live nearby IRL). :p

I want in. Submission later.

I would like to offer you a deal. The opportunity to join the Atomic Foxes and relocate to what is one of the last arable places on earth for farming. I have personally seen this land with my own eyes and felt the moist soil with my bare hands. I will supply any equipment that is needed to start farming as soon as possible. Join us and we will never see want for food.

Joining us will give you access to medical care, education and military training. There is a place for everyone in the Atomic Foxes.

But this offer has a time limit. We have to move fast before any other population centers find our golden fields.

Auxiliary Building Beta, 2nd Floor Resource Management moved slowly across the landscape, giving fair distance to the Mr. Handy that was sifting among the rubble. Nearby, members of Auxiliary Building Beta, Security Division A milled about, eye the landscape ahead and behind. Every now and then, Eric Monson, Junior Porter, would dart towards the robot, picking up a roughly square piece of scrap metal, and would deposit it in the hand cart being pulled by the others. It was early morning, and a good while before any of them could take a lunch break.

".. and then I heard Hernandez from security over in Aux Alpha got got an extra ration." Mitch Tatum, Senior Porter was whispering, but not quietly.

"Oh yeah, wasn't he the one the one who took out a ghoul with a single shot? Man, he is..." Tiffany Hill, Junior Secretary, a tall and ditzy woman, had begun to raise her voice when she was cut off.

"Both of you shut yer pie holes, before Tom writes you guys up!" Blake Burton, Assistant Manager, was a study fellow, whose nervous demeanor stood in contrast to his large physique. He was one of the more recent immigrants to Pellicle. He nervous nature had helped move up in the last few years. "Worse, your voices might attract a ghoul. It's bad enough the noise Handy makes."

"Relax, Burton. It's not like security is going to let anything get close to us. Besides, this part of town was already cleared out." Mitch smiled. Mitch and Burton were as close to friends as coworkers could be, but their personalities contrasted like oil and water.

"Yeah, you say that and-" Suddenly gunshots rang out. Resource Management around to see a single ghoul running among the pile of debris. Several more shots rang out, but the ghoul kept running. Suddenly, the ghoul ran up a debris pile, and leaped off of the pile towards Resource Managment. A few more shots went off, and the ghoul landed on Burton. Yelling, Burton began to hit and punch the ghoul until he realized that it had been shot in the head. Quickly, his co-workers helped him out from under the pile. Burton gave Mitch a dirty look. "What did I say? I told you something would happen."Mitch smiled. He had lost his composure when the ghoul leaped, and was relieved to see his friend was fine.

"But what did I say? Well, sure, the body got close, but it wasn't alive. So in a way, I was right. Come on, let's get back to work before Tom writes us up. If it makes you feel better, you can have my jello cup." Burton, who had been frowning, raised an eyebrow.

"You know that's right."

Hey,

OOC

Being the redhead stepchild NES of EQandcivfanatic & for those who might not visit EQandcivfanatic wonderous main NES. Which might just be me. He posted this.

First apologies for those who may have thought that me posting meant an update.

A quick status report: I'm still plodding along on the update, but I've been very busy irl and am still adjusting to a new sleep/work schedule. Compounding these problems is the fact that (so far, and this is before actually reading ALL orders) there is a possibility of 14 (!) new nations emerging this year. While I'm sure it won't actually be that many, I'm still betting the number will be in the double digits. New nations are some of the most difficult things for me to set up with each update, so this one is going to continue to be slow. No worries though, once things stabilize, we'll work it out so updates come regularly.

So after reading that I understand why he hasn't replied to my Diplo.

Yep, that about covers it. I'll be posting a 48-hour warning at some point after the completion of the CI update for this one.

At some point, if not, it'll be in the update. Plan accordingly.

Canoes can fit 5 people with supplies. Rafts can fit considerably more, but must either be pulled by a canoe or allowed to flow with a current.

As promised this is the 48ish hour warning to get those orders in. I'll be working on any orders marked "early" tonight or tomorrow night.

How about some kinda reply to this so I don't have to write 2 sets of orders.

They will agree if you provide safe and secure escort, as well as allow people to retain their personal firearms and supplies.

Revere IS utterly surrounded by badness. Oh well. Very good update. I might do a write up of my area; for all its badness, it is very interesting.

You've told me that Ghent-Montrose+Crystal Lake area requires a new settlement to tap. Is that also true for the Allardale and Hinkley state parks? Also, the expedition in Turn 1 didn't mention the state of scrap in the Ghent-Montrose-Crystal Lake area. Can you give me the overview or was it withheld on purpose?

Also: you added 10 to water production, not food production.
In hindsight, I should have built a recycler since I will soon be suffering from scrap-starvation.

EDIT: MOAR QUESTIONS.
Can Agricultural Tools be moved between settlements? Also, my structures aren't in my stats.

ALSO, I will update my little map soonish. YAY.
Bumpity?
