I'm not the one who calls Turok a classic. Go ahead and try to spend this evening playing it with your friends.

 Sure, my friends probably aren't as stuckup as you about games. You're moving the goalposts.

EDIT: Well, I might have to play Turok 2 since I'm not sure Turok had multiplayer.

Advanced SP

Its Advance SP, not Advanced SP. Likewise, the regular version is just Game Boy Advance, not Advanced. It seems minor, but it just irks me when someone calls the system a wrong name. Also, its supposed to be your favorite, and yet you can't even get the name right?

Whoops my bad! I don't know why, but the D on the end sounds more correct. I haven't played it for a couple of years either.

I voted for the NES but after thinking for a minute... SNES had Link to the Past, FF 4 and 6, Chrono Trigger, Super Metroid, F-Zero, Street Fighter II, Turtles in Time, and the original Mario Kart. I don't think you can top that.

eta: and Super Mario World of course

No, but seriously, I don't think it's that related to age. from the NES to Gameboy to Wii, all Nintendo consoles were at least good to great. The N64 was just appalling and I always regretted not getting a Playstation 1 instead. That one also suffers from the way games looked in this second half of the 90s, but its collection of games, again, was much more interesting.

No wait, it's not the worst Nintendo console: I guess N64 was better than Virtual Boy.

EDIT: Stuck up? No, only so many hours to play games in my life. All of the N64 games aren't part of my playlist for the rest of my life. While I may go back to Final Fantasy 1, Chrono Trigger, or SSB Brawl or something like that, there's nothing I want to go back to on N64, maybe except Ocarina of Time... but even then eh.. Also, my poor me's money was wasted on that crap console.

I had both, I bought a PS1 and most of its best games on the cheap at a pawnstore. I played the hell out of it. I think I can safely say, if you didn't like RPGs the N64 was a vastly superior system. No non-RPG PS1 game ever appealed to me, except maybe Metal Gear Solid.

The lack of 3rd party support means it can't compete with the SNES, but to call it crap is weird.

I grew up on the N64, so it gets my vote.

I played Ocarina of Time for a couple of hours once, an ex-roommate of mine forced me to.

it was pretty meh, not sure why people think it is the greatest thing ever. Not to say it was bad, just not anything amazing.

I had an N64 when I was like 6 or something. Great little bugger Pokemon Stadium was. And yes friends and I can and still be able to spend on a night on heir minigames and even the battles.

It only gets worse from there.

Your parents saved you from having to love something like the N64 by having you not have one in the sweet-nostalgia spot. Good on you ;)

@cull But there would be no reason to except nostalgia as there are vastly superior versions of all these games available. Which can't be said about many NES, SNES, even Gamecube, Gameboy and Wii games.

Haha same here!

So you...played the beginning dungeon and just barely got into the real part of the game?

Stuff happened, never got around to playing it again. It was a Zelda game as far as I could tell, which isn't bad but doesn't make it the greatest. But yeah, I didn't play that far.

I believe the original gameboy is still their "most successful platform"...but the wii may be approaching it.

The DS is by far their most successful platform.

I voted for gamecube and I owned all the consoles except the Wii. Because motion controls are no excuse for repeats of last generation graphics.

The only one of these I ever owned was the N64, and it was the first console I owned, so I'll vote for that. GameCube looked pretty good when I played it at friends' houses and whatnot, but I never got around to buying one. To be honest, though, this isn't much of a contest for me. I never played the NES or SNES, didn't own a GCN, and I always thought that the Wii was overrated and gimmicky.

Wii due to back-compatibility.

N64 stil play Goldeneye and Super Smash Brothers today :D
