I'm more partial to legend of zelda tracks, I think you can basically pick any of them and have pretty good tunes. Although now that I am typing I do like the super mario 2 music.

The best game music was from No One Lives Forever 1 and 2, Tropico, and the Katamari Damacy series.

Morrowind has the best soundtrack ever.

The music was good except you kind of get sick of it after the millionth time the song is repeated.

I can't really remember many full soundtracks from games, given that for much of the first decade of my gaming life I simply turned down the sound and listened to something else. Still do.

That said, there's a couple of gems from Sonic the Hedgehog I love:
