Eight hours into this game, twice in the last ten mintes I had a bug event that listed five lines of information, one at a time. Identical bugs. I'm uploading a saved game that will do it on the next turn, and a copy of the popups. Read the popups from bottom to top. The game continued to play without crashing. Thanks!

This error is a side effect of share prices reaching 0 or below (which they are not meant to do). I'm working on a solution for that, will be in the next patch.

I'm loving this new beta!!! The expanded diplomacy options are so nice.

I got this error just now -- not sure why. Here's the most recent autosave -- I believe from one turn previous -- I don't know if it'll reappear.

I'm unable to replicate the error from your save, but it's one I've seen before. It happens when the unit model can't be displayed in the bottom left corner of the UI for some unknown reason. If it happens again make note of which unit was selected or about to be selected at the time, and see if it's reproducible.

that seems like a BUG plot list error - check the bug tabs and check the BUG options of plot list.

It's definitely the unit model display. It's in updatePlotListButtons_Common but the relevant line is:

PHP:
screen.addUnitGraphicGFC("InterfaceUnitModel", CyInterface().getHeadSelectedUnit().getUnitType(), 170, yResolution - 138, 128, 128, WidgetTypes.WIDGET_UNIT_MODEL, CyInterface().getHeadSelectedUnit().getUnitType(), -1, -20, 30, 1, False)

Problem with this error is that "unidentifiable C++ exception" is basically Python saying "No idea what happened, not my problem." I ran it with a debug DLL but nothing was triggered.

Wouldn't that be unit from screenshot? There is unit selected and it's model is missing.

That's what I thought, but I tried it selecting it and it works fine for me.

EDIT: Have reproduced the error. It occurs when the unit is upgraded to a Cuirassier. I hadn't noticed that detail in the screenshot before. Now to solve it!

Found the problem, it's an issue with the Armenian Cuirassier's animations. Easy fix, will be in the next patch.

I have been playing your mod for a while now and am thoroughly enjoying the new features. I don't know where all the unit art came from, but it is spectacular! I find myself zooming in and putting the options on show friendly moves so I can check out all the cool units moving around. I see you have tweaked the culture victory amounts, which is a welcome balance as I found myself losing frequently to rivals that I could not get to around the 1900 year mark. I have tried to play Civ 5 and 6 many times, but always come back to these mods with K-mod. One important question that I have is this: I play on huge maps with 25-30 civs and inevitably a dominant civ on each continent will vassalize its inferiors. I don't mind this, but with kmod, I like to normalize the handicapinfo.xml file so the AI does not have any bonuses. It is too difficult when you play on huge maps to come from behind if you get dogpiled by multiple AI opponents with unreasonable bonuses. I did this after downloading your mod in the new HR assets folder, but it doesn't seem to have had any affect. I am getting out-teched by every player in the game, even though I had a good start and pinned my continent-rival into a corner. He has half the population than me, and very few $ improvements and is keeping pace with me in every aspect. I have several $ improvements for early game. Everybody else is just blowing me away. The settings field is missing in the victories advisor so I'm not quite sure what is going on. For me, this is a deal breaker. Please explain this to me and advise me how to normalize the game, as I'm sure others might want to do this also. I am uploading my early game save so somebody can have a look. Thanks.
Also last non-beta game the dominant AI and its many vassals lost hundreds of units trying to take the same city numerous times. I had about 50 artillery eventually and there was no way he was going to take it without a nuke or similar tactics. I know this is probably K-mod AI, but can someone just put a If/then statement that basically says: I have tried this strategy too many times and failed....time for plan B (like attacking the backside of the empire with a naval assault)
Anyway great mod, I hope to play the next one to a non-culture victory so I can see all the new stuff in the modern era.

Thanks! Most of the unit art was made by the very talented @Bakuel , who has made sets of historically accurate units for many civs and regions. And I've used his units as a base to create sets for many of the civs he hasn't covered.

So far the beta process has focused more on fixing bugs than balance, and the new diplomacy options have definitely created some balance issues. In particular, the AI loves to churn out siege units and trade them for techs, which is likely causing some of the problem you're experiencing. I intend to start addressing this in the next beta patch.

Btw, Noble is the most 'normalized' difficulty level in HR. I try to avoid placing AI bonuses or penalties there as much as possible.

The settings field is missing in the victories advisor so I'm not quite sure what is going on.

It's been moved to the Mod Settings panel (cog button in the top left), on the System tab.

For me, this is a deal breaker. Please explain this to me and advise me how to normalize the game, as I'm sure others might want to do this also. I am uploading my early game save so somebody can have a look. Thanks.

I'll have a look at your save and see if I can find anything else going on. How were your experiences with this in the previous version (1.24.1)?

Beyond my knowledge/skill level at the moment. AI war strategy is very complicated and not something I've looked into much, but hopefully I can figure it out in the future.

Thanks for the feedback!

Really enjoy this latest version of the mod, seems like it's running smoother than ever. However, after about 70% of my current playthrough I've ran in to some crashes. In the beginning I was able to load an earlier save and keep playing, but now all of the saves crashes as soon as I try to load them. It goes straight to desktop and doesn't seem to be a MAF issue. I had the same issues with the earlier version and have yet been able to complete a game, which is a shame since I love this mod and have been playing it since 2011.

I'm playing the Steam version on Mac.

Crashes on launch for me too. Report indicates it's a civics problem, probably the same one that's been around for a while, but without a saved game that will launch I can't solve it. Do you have any autosaves from earlier? If not, please test a new game and if/when it crashes post the that last few autosaves here. My guess is that this crash only happens when a particular civic/tenet or combination of civics/tenets is active and that's why some people experience it often, while others do rarely, if at all. I also suspect it might be a Mac-only problem.

Interesting! Here's two saves from five/six minutes before the crash.

Similar problem here perhaps. I can't get past 1765. So I went back a few saves and worked back with different choices of science research and made it. No civics choice changes were made for a long time. Attached is two saves, both for the same year. The bad one and the good one.

@Xyth , this looks amazing! I've been traveling but I'm getting back next week and I'm gonna give this a play! Also, I promise I'll be getting those Armenia/Scythia themes to you too. I will maybe take a crack at Burma too, I feel guilty leaving them limped in with the Thai and Java cultures musically.

Thanks for the shout-out though and all your hard work on this. I can't wait!

Question: I downloaded 1.25, made the file adjustments, swapped it into the BTS Mods folder, but when I load it seems to be still playing 1.24. At least there are no Armenians or Scythians. I am fairly new to Steam-- (and playing on a Mac)-- is there something else I need to do to get 1.25 to load?

Always best to remove the old version when an update comes out. Give deleting the mod and reinstalling a go.

I've redownloaded, reinstalled and restarted multiple times. Steam still loads an old version, without Armenians and Scythians. No idea why. Could Steam be accessing the game from somewhere besides the BTS on my hard-drive? I've tossed out the old History Rewritten and put the new folder in MODS. I've played hundreds of hours of HR on this laptop, many versions, never had trouble with installation before.
