It turns out there was a simple typo with a section of code that only runs when the "basic help" option is enabled, which is why I never noticed it. Well, that's what beta testing is for! 
When working on particularly difficult tasks I sometimes go a few days before checking the forums, to avoid losing my train of thought. In recent days I've been redesigning yield functions and strategic resource placement.

As I don't think its worthy of a new topic, I think you've forgotten to sort river yields for terrace farms by looking at the xml of b6
