The GlobalDefines, or GlobalDefinesAlt, I don't remember which. Read the MLF tutorial. The MLF in question is in the custom units folder.
 
Also, I should mention this: DO NOT INSTALL ANY HOTFIXES OVER THIS!! It will cause errors. I have all the hotfix code that I need already in the installer.
 
Ah, indeed, it was a fault of my own. I apologize.

I reinstalled Rise of Mankind, however, I did not apply Hotfix 3 before installing your mods, and this resulted in storms.
 
so uninstall or don't put any past Hotfix 3?
 
Some of them don't really need new sounds, the barracks one works for most military buildings. However, 2 of the arctic ones needs sounds, and I bet all of generalstaffs buildings (Which are now in AND) need new sounds too.

Well, ok... But you already seem to have sounds for the arctic buildings, are you saying you'd like a better one, then?

However, I did make a few new sounds for other buildings, which are attached to this post. The sounds are for the Ski Resort, Spaceway, Speedway, Wave Racing, and Zoo buildings, to be precise. I noticed your Zoo(s) were still using the Granary sound. Can't have that, now can we!

I noticed that all the Beautification Project buildings still have the Granary sound as well! Boo! I think the AS2D_BUILD_PARK sound (added for RoM 2.8) fits very nicely for them.

Also, the Castle Improvements still use the Castle sound over and over, which is fine for some things, but don't you think that the Moat could use the Aqueduct sound (or even the Artesian Well sound), the Herbalist could use the Healer's Hut sound, and the Dungeon/Keep could use the Jail sound?

For the National Weather Service, maybe the Intelligence Agency or Press Agency sound would be fitting.

Also, you have another Olympics building defined, I see... yet you don't use the Olympics sound! (It was also new with RoM 2.8).

That's all I can see for the moment. I didn't take a look at the civic-buildings yet, but I will tomorrow. If you have any buildings other than these that you would like new sounds for, please do list them specifically and I will (most likely) make them a fresh new sound!

I love those new sounds. I recognize the Zoo one from Sim City 4, right? I changed everything per your suggestions. I'm glad I started focusing on the aesthetics of my mod too, because it matters almost as much as content. I'll get those new sounds added pronto.
 
The only other mod I have besides this one is the latest update of "Early Buildings" by General staff. However it did not give me this error before when I used that mod. So I am thinking is a AND Beta 2 bug. (See Attachment)

That's missing text. Are you using 1.50beta2 or 1.51beta2? I caught that I forgot some text files at the last minute. Regardless, I'll double check those.

Glad that you like them! And yes, the Zoo is from Simcity, although it's from Simcity 3000, not 4.

Oh, Okay. I've played all of them, and after so many years, they start to meld together in your mind. I remember when I first played SC4, I spent so many hours on it, occasionally I'd "hear" the sound effects in RL. I was probably going crazy, but I didn't care. (Isn't that another sign of madness too? Not caring? Oh well. At least I make good mods, crazy or not.)

I am sure Sim City 4 (or others) would give a lot of good sound fxs if they are not already included. Such as the NIMBY buildings all would have their own respective sounds from SC4.
 
Mmm. SimCity 4. One of my favorite games. Also my number one target for extensive modding.

Generalstaff made a typo. I'll fix it on my end, but if you want it fixed, go to the custom buildings folder, Modular Civic buildings, then art, and renamed the "caravan post" folder to "caravanpost" (All 1 word.)

then reload Civ.

Good catch, BTW.
