I have a present for ya'll. Here is something called the TACOS Color Scheme. Feel free to use it to get colors for your nation. MAKE SURE THEY ARE DISIMILAR TO THE CURRENTLY USED COLORS.

For those who are technologically challenged- you open two windows in Paint. One with the most current New Map, and one with the TACOS scheme. Go to the TACOS window. You use the select tool to get a little box with the color you want. Then, hit Ctrl+C. Go to the New Map Window. Find the area you want your nation in, and zoom in. Hit Ctrl+V, and then move the box of color that has appeared in the top left corner to the center of your desired nation. Draw your desired border using the rules mentioned in earlier posts. Click the bucket fill tool, and then click on your color square. Fill in your desired national color in your borders. Post the map, and join the party!

AND we must determine a date for this world. Assuming most developments take place at roughly the same time as in our world, but that the Central Archipelago connected Epica, Centralis, and Meytee for most of recorded history, we might be a little ahead of our world.

How about the year is 2020 CE, and the Epic War was 30 years ago. Anyway, that would be a good explanation for the technological disparity between this world and that.

We have the Highly Controversial Doctrine of powering all ships with nuclear reactors. was a very expensive doctrine to start out with. payed off in a decrease in oil demand of 30%. Also decreased defense budget by 20%...there was a oil crisis going on at the time. we needed to compact the problems it created somehow. after this doctrine took effect, the crisis was for all due purposes over. it barely brought down usage rates of oil to levels our economy could handle. Still took time to recover.

DUS Duce (Was built before Nuclear Carriers were possible, but was built the size of one. didn't leave dry-dock for a long time for a long time. Spent half it's existence in the yard getting refits. Only recently has building it not been ridiculed. well, greatly that is, as it is expensive having a carrier unable to leave the shipyard for 35 years... The teams involved in designing it were "fired" Late Epic War. )

Large Gunboats (we dont call them battleships. for the longest time, we used small gunboats for this roll. mixed results. Blue-water was difficult. coastal, very effective. So we decided 20 years ago to change this. the larger versions have thin armor. when the max range of a rail-gun is 300 miles and effective is 200, missiles are fired a dime a dozen, torpedoes fired en mass, and CAGs cover the skies above you, armor gives no protection and just slows you down. side of this: we can afford a lot of them. just they dont survive as many hits.)

No regular cannons on any...dont need them though. a rail-gun barrage works perfectly.

Any ship to ship cannons are railguns. obvious less of them are on them.
90 Missile Boats. they sometimes seem to have too many launchers. historically most effective ship for us. not much stops a salvo of 5 missiles per launcher, of which we have 7 on each ship, per ship. as usual, thin armor. also historically the type of ship we have that was sunk the most.
40 Destroyers
4 Frigates
35 Attack subs
10 SSBN. just missing the ballistic missiles. we rather like the idea. just we jumped the gun. these are therefor loaded with cruise missiles. theories suggest these will be as effective as missile boats, despite their numbers being smaller due to their stealthy natures, as these are submarines.

600 Gunboats. only armed with a single railgun on each. dont piss off a group of 30 without back up. likes training on drug smugglers. drug trade dropped 90% after we started this. So did the number of yachts.

This fleet is expensive. 15% of our defense spending goes here.
