Trexericism
Holy Land: Holy Island (the tiny island northwest of Trexeric Island)
Followers: Mainly in the City State of Trexericia, others scattered throughout Esandtee
The international Trexericist church structure is very loose, as the Holy Book of Trexericism said, "
The Church is reliant on its members, and its members are reliant on the Church. The Church is not reliant on other churches, nor are the members reliant on other members." The Holy Church of Trex, the largest church, has the largest income, as it resides on Holy Island, where pilgrims often venture. They spend this money on charity and improving Trexericist churches.
The beliefs of the Trexericists are often described by non-believers as 'a cheap copy of Tambism'. However, this is not the case. The Holy Book of Trexericism said, "
Before there was Esandtee, there was the Void. The Void sucked anything of any mass into it's clutches, until the being Trex arrived at its gaping maw. Trex, with his awesome powers, banished the Void to the far reaches of the universe. Trex created a world, Esandtee, to house his followers, the Erimen. The Erimen created animals, and when they found some extremely attractive monkeys, bred and made humans. The Erimen soon died off, leaving humans as their successor. Meanwhile, the Void crept back toward Esandtee. Realizing his duty to stop the monster, Trex lured the Void back into the far reaches of the universe, but this time he did not come back. Trex was cursed to eternally fight the Void, and if he fails, the Void will once again reign.
The primary belief of Trexericism is that the benevolent Trex is ultimately protecting Esandtee from an ultimate evil in the world. However, it is also believed that the Void originally caused all evil, and is invincible except at the end of time, when the Trexerician Apocalypse comes. No matter what the infidels say, Trex is not a god. There are no deities in Trexericism. Trex is just an immortal being who had taken control of the Erimen. The Holy Book of Trex has three main parts, the Scripture of Trex, written by Trex and the holiest Erimen, the Grand Summary, written by humans, and the Holy Prophecies of Trex, written by the Erimen after Trex set off to battle the Void.
The Erimen, before their extinction, continued Trex's legend as prophets. The last Eriman, Errec, wrote the 'Ending Prophecy'. The Ending Prophecy said, "
I am becoming old, frail, and weak. I fear soon I will end as my acquaintances... dead. Trex tells me to write one last prophecy, the prophecy to warn mankind about the possibility of his defeat. So, on with the prophecy, hm? I see skies of black, darker than night, that will consume our beautiful skies. Each night I fear is the end, but I realize that, as long as there are stars in the sky, the Void cannot reach Esandtee. I see seas of blood, spilling from those who worship Trex, and only from those who worship Trex. The humans will see that the Trexericists were correct all along, and they will attempt to redeem themselves. However, the Void will eat them, along with the mangled corpses of the Trexericists. The Void will then eat Esandtee, and then the universe, returning the world to his control. He will reign for a thousand years, until Trex is able to gather up the defeated humans, and then they will finally kill the Void. However, the damage will have been done, and all living things will die and go to Trexericist heaven.
One of the most ominous prophecies was written by the legendary Exrix. This was the Prophecy of Warring Tribes As the main part of the prophecy goes, "
It has been a month since the Most Holy Trex has left us Erimen, and I know not if he will return. However, he sends me images of a horrible fate of mankind. This is the fate of fools, so I prefer our descendants will avoid it at all costs. This is the fate of each other. Once us Erimen die out, or even descend from our current nobility, the humans will begin fighting with one another. This will ultimately result in mankind's death. I wish to leave Esandtee a peaceful place, free of disagreements and quarrels, so that we cannot reach for this fate, even though the fate reaches for us.
