Great addition(s) again.:goodjob:

Just one question: Why did you remove Assimilation's High to Low option?

Im getting a lot of tag errors when I load the game now...so im assuming I did something wrong..sigh

I'm not sure what you mean?

Damn! CTDs again  The patch doesn't help me

Sorry man... but your log files look fine to me. I don't know what causes your CTD problems, honestly.

Great addition(s) again.:goodjob:

Just one question: Why did you remove Assimilation's High to Low option?

That was the part of Assimilation that was giving everybody grief with random civ changing, even with the option disabled.... so I removed it.

Damnit... I just noticed something that needs fixed.

For some reason, I thought Laboratories could be built with Scientific Method, but it's actually Superconductors. This would make building the Manhattan Project not happen until late in the game, which means no nuclear weapons until the Modern Era. Look at the Tech Tree to see what I'm taking about.

So, I'm removing the PreReq labs for the Manhattan Project as an interim fix until the next patch. Unzip this into your HISTORY IN THE MAKING/Assets/XML/Buildings directory. When asked to overwrite, select "yes".

since i installed this i get those 2 error messages and i can not launch the mod at all :

replaced the last CIV4BuildingInfos.xml by the one from the 3.01 patch and the mod loads again

@#$%*!#

I am not on the ball this morning! Too much lager the night before...

Ok, the interim fix is good to go... redownload it.

i installed Patch v3.01, but in "custom game" if i use "no technology brokering" i can't make settlers

This is happening to me, too. Seems the game doesn't like it when you rearrange the game options in CIV4GameOptionInfos.xml. So, I had to revert back to the way it was... with all the new game options at the bottom of the list. I had to recompile a new DLL, too. And, consequently... I had to disable several game options from Assimilation, with only Assimilation itself, and Barbarian City Challenge remaining available to choose from. Assimilation doesn't like to co-exist with BUG Mod very much it seems.

I tested this... and it should work, and will be incorporated into the next patch. This was a MAJOR pain in the ass to fix! Very annoying...

Unzip this into your HISTORY IN THE MAKING/ directory (the root directory of the mod). When asked to overwrite, select "yes".

I downloaded 3.01 and opened it in the HiTM folder but I dont think it took.... any suggestions?

I redownloaded HiTM and the applied the patch and the fixes and im at the main screen, which is great...will now start playing games and let you know how it goes...strangely, the version I did seems to be different than the HiTM I know have...different main screen and different custom game features...let the fun begin!

When everyone was talking about the assimilation option...I never had that...so when I started having the new problems with the patch, I simply re-downloaded HiTM, applied your new patch and the 2 fixes you have made, and now its all working! I just noticed that the main screen was different, I now get the one you show, where before i didnt, and that now I have other options that I havnt seen before. Even in the game now I see things I have never seen before. Makes me wonder if all along I somehow had a different version or what not. But from here on out I do, and the playing will begin!

Ah, I see what you mean now.

A fresh, clean install of a mod is sometimes a wise choice. Especially if you modify some files, and forget which ones they are. I do it from time to time myself.

The reason you saw a different background on the Main Menu (I'm guessing) is the settings you had in your pre-deleted HiTM. You probably had one of the other screens selected, maybe? By deleting the entire mod and installing from scratch, you probably ended up using the default background that you see in the original post.

You probably didn't have a different version... just something went weird during the install/patching process.
