[Beyond the Sword] History In The Making

And for those, like me, that play with single unit graphics :(. Forgive me for thinking along (/joke) but how about a new unit type. One that also includes Machine Guns i.e., aren't they purely "volley" units too?

At this point it it's all pretty much moot. Yet another dead end. Nobody has seen such a thing, knows how, or knows who might know. So, while I may have envisioned a cool, new dimension in unit creation and customization I'm prepared to call this one a bust. The people I questioned know way more about modding this game than I do.

Nice sigline, Dude !

I would like to see in this game the ability to build tanks and troops that are equipped with flame-throwers and have a bonus against infantry and fortifications but a penalty in defending themselves. It would really add to the modern WWI-Vietnam part of the technology tree and then have them in a more modern form for past that era. I know it isn't real life but there is no reason why they might not be effective today except that no one wants to deploy them.

Ok, I was just thinking that was an appropriate unit to put into History in the Making as a modified infantry unit with a bit lower defence but higher attack value against infantry and fortifications... Feel free to differ from me. Could be worth thinking about. What does Grave think?

That's not so strange, it's a totally new way of approaching units. At least as far as I'm aware.

And thanks for the sigline comment. Watching CSI isn't all that bad ;).

Good job! "

Flamethrower file not found.

Hi,

Is it possible to add pre-made leaderheads from other mods into HITM? If so could someone explain me how to do it? Thank you.

Ladies and gentlemen, I'm going on a 2 week fishing trip tomorrow and my internet access and band width will be undependable.

I'll try to answer non-technical questions when I can. I'll also ask Drew to look in here again. Happy gaming!

Have a good break, and catch one for me ;) I'll be around to look in if needed.

Right now the challenge appears to be getting there from here with Interstate and other highway closings as a result of flooding due to record June rainfall. Tomorrow may be quite an adventure.

Perhaps you can catch a fish on the Interstates then ;).

Hi everyone,

I have managed to add leaderheads into HITM thanks to the guys at the mod tutorial and reference section of this forum. Thanks for the direction Arian.

Now what I would like to do is to add a few flags that can work with the mod. I've been trying for a few days now to apply flags provided in other threads by using their instructions but I'm getting weird colors on the flags. For instance the American flag has a blueish background tone. I'm told it's a mod specific problem.

Maybe some of you guys have already found a solution to this; or even better if you are already using flags made for this mod? Thanks.

EDIT: I figured out how to do it. Many of you probably know how to do it but I'll put it down here anyway in case someone in the future bumps into the same issue. So here it goes:

-Put all flags into \HITM\Assets\Art\interface\teamcolor
-Open CIV4ArtDefines_Civilization.xml from the folder HITM\Assets\XML\Art by using notepad.
-You'll see the line <bWhiteFlag>0</bWhiteFlag> for every civilization. Change the number 0 to 1 for every country which you have a new flag for. This basically places white as the background color. End.

Any plans to update to 3.17?

Grave did a cross country move quite recently, and must be pretty busy with rl atm, since we haven't heard from him for quite a while.......it may come to a point where some of us attempt a HITM upgrade ourselves, we'll see ;)
