[Beyond the Sword] History In The Making

The model for the Mongolian horsemen seems to be missing.

Also, the Civilopedia entry for St. Vitus is about Prague Castle.

Other than that great job :goodjob:

Damn, you're rich!

I think I will need to adjust Civics a little. By the looks of it, with that combo you have very... effective specialists. :)

On a side note, I could of sworn I fixed the damn size of those stadiums! I guess not. :(

I also need to figure out a way to keep the AI from spamming every single piece of terrain with villages.

Alright, I've been playing for a while and I have some qualms.

I think something is wrong with the combat system...or I'm very unlucky.

I had a musketman and attacked a catapult. Odds 95.4%. I lost and he retained half health. A chariot also slaughtered a musketman, though I don't know the odds. I also lost a series of 75%+ battles. I didn't win any with the odds againt me. Someone pull out the speartank macro.

Also, partway through a war that someone declared on me, the entire rest of the continent (4 other people) declared war on me at the same time. I wasn't even particularly strong or a major threat (2nd place) and two of them had mediocre to amiable relations with me.

I don't recall an apistolic palace crusade message or anyone even building it for that matter, and the two that had decent relations weren't the same religions as the other two.

Transport Helicopters don't have a Civilopedia entry.

Jet Aircraft and Heavy Aircraft cannot receive Combat I - IV, Ace, Pinch I - III, Ambush I - III, Air Range I-III, or Interception I-II. Pinch, Ambush, and Ace actually say their available, but they require Combat promotions so can't actually be taken. Air Range III also says its available, but requires I and II, which are not.
Early aircraft can take the promotions they should be able to.

Wow...
Traits really, really need to be redone.

Industrious is now worthless, which makes a lot of leaders nerfed.
Financial is now overpowered.

Only one of the new traits is used. And it's used once, for Bismark.

HISTORY IN THE MAKING
KNOWN BUGS LISTING
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
- The last couple of Corporations don’t show their correct icon in the Civilopedia. This is purely a cosmetic error and will not affect gameplay. The Font files will need to be corrected once I figure out why they’re not linking to the correct icons.
This is the fix your bug and some new screens if you want to use them.

basically when i load your mod all is fine and when i set up the game its fine. but after i press launch it gets to setup map and just closes down.
my whole civ4 is messed up. ive reinstalled it AGAIN and i was playing a mod for warlords and in that mod all of the artillery didnt bombard. i compared the unit info files and they are exactly the same...i cant figure this crap out.

I didnt' change anything with the combat system. In fact, besides shuffling PreReqTechs around, I hardly changed combat values of units. The only thing even combat related that I added was Dale's Ranged Bombardment.

Everything sounds quite normal to me. All the AI on that continent went to war with you probably because they were allies with the one who declared war on you.

Are you sure about the Transport Helicopter? I just fired up the mod and the Pedia entry is there. I did notice the Hwacha is missing it's Strategy entry, though.

Thanks for the Promotions bug report! :goodjob: It'll be fixed with the next patch.

I always thought Industrious was overpowered, so I moved the Wonder Production to a newly created trait that primarily focuses on that. Ramesses has this trait, called "Inspirational". And no way is Industrious worthless. You mean to tell me building Forges, Factories and power plants at double speed is worthless?

Sweet, thanks Roamty! I think I'm going to keep the Civics screen as is, though. The reason I changed it is so that in the future, if I decide to plug in a new Civics option, the space is already laid out. :)

Don't know what to say on this one. Sounds like when you're installing the game itself something bad is happening.

The model for the Mongolian horsemen seems to be missing.

The problem is that the Keshik is supposed to be the Mongolian UU (replacing the horsemen, according to the Civilopedia), but they can't actually build it. It doesn't replace the horsemen, but they can't build horse archers either.

My problem with the transport helicopter went away, and it has a Civilopedia entry again. No idea what happened.
EDIT: Try looking while playing as the Americans. The entry is there, but there's no text. The unit itself has no command bar.

The model for the Mongol riflemen is strange:

Ah, I see what I did (or didn't) do. In the UnitInfos.xml file, it says the Keshik replaces the Horseman, which is what I want it to do.

What i didn't do was update the CivilizationInfos.xml file. This will also be fixed in the next patch.

Ah, I see what's going on with that.

I needed to change the KFM file for the Huey helicopter the American use as a Flavor Unit. This will be fixed in the next patch.

I could of sworn I fixed that. I'll look into this...

I'm working on a patch that will fix everything that is listed on Page #4. The only exception being the Scenario problem, which really isn't a "bug".

I'm also working on creating a few real-life Earth Scenarios, because I love playing on Earth Maps. :king:

Hostile ships block movement of your helicopters, and hostile helicopters block ships. This is exploitable, because a stack of both ships and helicopters is completely unattackable. Either ships and helicopters should be able to attack each other, or helicopters need to lose their water movement.

EDIT: Spanish cavalry isn't animated.

I'll look into that Helicopter thing. I really want them to keep the water movement, because it's silly that they can't fly over a small body of water.

The cavalry is easy, it'll be fixed tomorrow. :)
