Biggest misunderstanding about you?

I'm not really sure what people misunderstand about me..

though it does seem like a few people here think I'm rich/my parents are, which is just not the case

I don't drink, I can't drive and I've only needed to vote a few times in the last decade. I'll still settle for not zonking out by midnight!

I'm not really sure what people misunderstand about me...

I've formed a couple of impressions about you, but I'm not entirely sure that they're misunderstandings!

People around already know that I'm a complainer. To be honest, I'm not. Not many know that I'm making considerable changes to my life.

That I'm kind and smart. I'm not. Meet me on a bad day; I'll be either the most depressed wreck you've ever seen or extremely nasty and abusive.

I have to say, you can be a bit rough on the edges to other people. But I suspect that's your depression. I do hope you do feel better .

I will still miss your presence in DYOS 12 and future installments.

There are actually some things I am knowledgable about, they're just rarely discussed on these forums, which is why you are free to think I'm an unawaringly blabbering idiot.

I don't know, I only know you for your participation in DYOS. To be honest, do kind of miss your presence .

Given that I am teribly un-photogenic, I am probably the last person who should be pointing out unflattering photos, but you don't exactly appear to be terribly masculine in your photos. I get a distinctly androgynous vibe from them. (That doesn't answer the question at all, I realise.)

(In any case there's nothing wrong with an androgynous look, anyway. Even if you had one. Which you don't.)

Most people only look bad in their passport photos; I have the unusual privilege of looking goofy in all my photos!

Yes. I feel the same way. In fact, I don't really do photos or photography at all. I'm always amazed by people who seem to spend nearly their entire holidays taking pictures instead of enjoying themselves. Though I'm always happy to look at their snaps for them.

I don't think there are any misunderstandings fundamentally about my character on these boards that I have a problem with. It gets annoying when people associate me with welshophile or anglophile-ness. But those assumptions are completely understandable given the username and given the fact that I was those things at one point in time. Other than that, I can't really think of any assumptions about my character that aren't totally justified (or so irrelevant as to not even really be worth mentioning).

I think your posts and historical knowledge get unfortunately overshadowed. I think that your remarks on how to be social are occassionally unfairly seen as being a dick. Sometimes it's deserved

I get just as mean and y as my counterparts on the left, if not more so, and I don't have a lot of patience for some of the views they hold. Oh, I fervently believe in their right to hold those views and opinions, but I certainly don't have to respect them.

No we know that, but we respect that you are a genuine charitable person and so we can disagree greatly on many issues, without letting the divide make us political enemies. This is the difference between you and many conservatives who aren't even as conservative!
