BirdNES 3: When Worlds Collide

I suppose I'll have time to send on Sunday.

Really though, ships getting attacked completely against orders is only one of too many absurdities in this NES that can be blamed for your player base vanishing.

That's the only big thing I've seen, all the other issues I remember have been pretty small. Is this just exaggeration? Which events were you referring to?

An to rage quit over a few ships, in a seeminly plausible, but bad luck situation is a bit weak.

Well, maybe I'm being a bit harsh, but the stats are a bit skewiff IMO, especially the overpowered England, the ridiculous and apparently random appearance and enormous significance of corruption, and the factions which seem impossible to control in any way at all. And I'm not sure I should have been allowed to conquer Tunis just like that either, for that matter. :p Maybe there haven't been many issues, but really... navies attacking against orders like that is just absurd.

Anyway, I'll probably get orders in on Sunday.

There's no way any 16th century England should be richer than Spain.
The beautiful part of a NES like this is that it doesn't have to match history exactly. There would be no reason to play this if there was no chance for England or any other country to leave the boundries that history have set for us. I for one am glad that players like Immac have been able to play a country to a level of dominance that did not exsist at this time.

Thanks.

Only it's economically not feasible when Spain has a global trading network.

Orders incoming in the next little while...

Ultimately Blackbard summarized the spirit of NESing very well here. we aren't replaying history- we are rewriting it.

Orders sent.

That is the reason to NES. To change history (or try to prevent it) while having fun and telling tales.
