BlaDipNES - A Fresh Start

The Two Year Plan: The infamous plan to destroy the 1337 Ascendancy, the last bastion of civilization.

Thomas Hobbes was right. Man in his nature state really does lead life. Life indeed is nasty, brutish, and short.

We will not disappear from the sands of history.

who said i was going to destroy you XD, im going to try and use the Plan A i was talking about during math class

Oh yeah, the Plan A that nobody was paying attention to, because nobody you know is in your math class who is playing this game (except me, and personally, I was tuning you out).

You're just angry at me because I orchestrated alliances against you in past games. :P

who said that i was telling everyone?? I was just telling you that im using that plan when we were at math class XD. Plus i am not mad, i just realize you're very weak without your school friends playing diplo XD and i get pretty strong without our friends playing diplo.

Edit: And you know thats a fact XD. You always have allies in orderofferret's diplo and im like a propagandist, the target, who always get picked on.

Bah! Rules: 1 Logic: 0

Hey, at least this is more logical than that Risk thing over there.

Risk II requires placement of all available reinforcements in order to continue issuing orders.

Or, it could be that I am a better face to face Diplomacy player, because I can gauge lies better.

Have you read about something called a...well, I don't remember the name. Basically, it's like a millisecond twitch that people do sometimes. If you catch it, it reveals what they're thinking.

For example: There was a police officer who was confronting a gangster. He was telling the gangster to disarm and put his hands behind his back. He wasn't sure whether or not he would comply, but then he did that twitch thing, and the cop somehow knew that he was going to listen. He did what he was told and the situation was solved.

Or: That real estate agent who tries to sell you a shoddy house. Sometimes, people can just tell when people are lying because of that feeling they get.

So I have better interpersonal skills face to face.

On the Internet, though, it's far too easy to lie to somebody, and thus I make horrible alliances.

that is just plain lie LightFang, I notice you always allied with Tek and Mr. What and you partial ally with Etawasaki. Without those guys, i believe you're nothing. Without them, its just you and me and going one on one is my strong point XD.

You can't just understand the fact that I'm better at face to face negotiation than you.

Here: I'll make it simple.

Why do they stay my allies? Because I satisfy them.

To go into detail would give away an advantage that I have over you: Diplomatic skill.

So instead, I will say this:

I betrayed Etawakisaki because it was good for me to do such a thing.

Think about that. :P

First Game: I betrayed everybody in the way of my domination over Western Europe as France. I ended up the leader in a three way tie.
Third Game (My second): I was nearly destroyed and in no position to make any betrayal whatsoever. I ended up the loser of the three winners, but still a winner nevertheless.
Fourth Game (My third): Well, I'll tell you after we finish.

Let's look at your track record!

First Game: Quit after a Austrian-Turko betrayal.
Second: Moderator stupidity ended the game, I think you were betrayed as well.
Third: Betrayed me, which I personally was expecting anyway. You ended up picking the wrong allies and quit in the middle of losing.
Fourth: Quit the game due to pressure from the Allied side because you couldn't handle losing.

Wow, you're totally in a position to call me nothing.

Now, before we get poor TheBladeRoden's thread closed for flaming each other, a Concordat: We shut up right now about this. :p

all i got to say is this forum's diplo will be different from ootf's diplo. I will not be the noob you guys think i am. I will show how good i am in diplomacy. AND you should read my explanations since you got the 1st, 3rd, and 4th game wrong cause i recall that i post it somewhere in dip03 stab in the back. and yes, i am totally in a position to call you a nothing in this diplo game.

thats a cool avatar iggy, but i like the other one XD

The Sith Penguin?

I'm doing some drawing studies with the penguins. I've never done a black background before.

@Iggy: I'd say the rules make perfect sense.

Consider if you had an army in, say Swe and the adversary had an army in Nwy. You move Swe-Nwy, he moves Nwy-Swe. Of course you'll run into each other, and neither manages to advance. However, if you also had a fleet in Ska that supported the move, you would be able to overwhelm those Nwy-ians, thus leaving Swe open. If that meant that the other guy's move Nwy-Swe should now succeed, it would be kind of silly, the whole point of the support is to help overwhelm and push back. So that Nwy army would go nowhere, despite Swe being open, it would be dislodged.

Exactly this happened to you, albeit at a different geographic location, which looks like it would not be possible. MjM had an army in Stp going Stp-Nwy, which clashed with your fleet going Nwy-Stp. You would have bounced, but he had a fleet in Swe supporting the move, thus helping push back and overwhelm you, and you were dislodged.
