Governor's Challenge
Spoiler :Governors Challenge: A group of refugees from the former town of Chuluota have arrived and number nearly four hundred people. They have a large amount of supplies and weapons, but are seeking a more permanent settlement. Still, they are a bit unusual and tightly bound together as a community, if they were to join us, theyd be a very insular minority, which could cause trouble in the future. While they claim to be on the way to join the Sunshine Kingdom via a safer crossing near Palatka, some of our people think we should convince them to stay with us. Critics claim that our food and water production already falls short of what its needed yearly, and that this may not be a good move. Should we attempt to bring these people into the Commonwealth?
Governor's Challenge Solution
Spoiler :
Well, we've got room for foreigners, I reckon. Maybe they'd be willing to settle some farm-able land. We could offer them land west of Leesburg or north of the Emerald Vault.
New Gulf Commonwealth Orders (Short)
Spoiler :
Offer the band of settlers land to the west or north for settlement. The NGC will offer protection if they settle a site that is mostly arable.
Move the Howitzer to Fort Apopka. Assemble a force of 550 men from the Emerald Vault, Leesburg and Umatilla (5 Plasma, 4 power armor, 100 Laser weapons, 70 2-h guns, 200 1-h guns, 121 low tech weapons and 50 to lug the howitzer double time). Present offering to the Burned Men (dress up some junk to look like it's scrap). When they arrive to collect, begin firing the howitzer at the group and snipe at them. If they retreat (and the howitzer has the range), begin firing the howitzer at the Burned Men base recruit an additional 300 men from Fort Apopka. If they do not surrender, make a feint assault the at their main gates. Have the plasma blow some holes in their base from a side they won't expect it from. If we can cause their defenses to collapse in on them, great. If we open up multiple ways into their base, that also works. Scrap everything and take prisoners.

Heh. We're both attacking the Burned Men.
