If we were to only include undisputed Heads of State then we would need to throw out Bismarck, Gandhi, and Oda Nobunaga too. It would also make Isabella and Theodora look like curious choices given that they were both outlived by their husbands.

Bismark was a German chancellor. I agree with Gandhi, though. I would have preferred Ashoka. However, Gandhi is a known throughout the world and that may have been the reason for his choosing. Most people wouldn't know the difference between the significant players of the Italian Unification.

I wouldn't bank on Indonesia yet. I could see Vietnam, Khmer, Burma as possiilities. Though Indonesia seems the most likely

If it's like the Zulu/Portugal announcement, they will let the game mags do it and it will be about 8am Eastern US.

Actually it looks more like Gajah Mada.

The lack of a crown leans me to Gajah.

It would just strike weird to me to have Italy in the scenario but Venice in the main game, the next European civ is going to be very interesting. Hopefully that'll be the dark horse. I feel like getting really surprised and see an outrage of people ranting that the civ isn't worth including.

Venice is more than possible. Assuming the alphabetical order is correct, Venice is basically the only European Civ still standing.

Indonesia could of course be called Srivijaya, but I find that highly unlikely.

With one European country still to come, I think that if it is both Indonesia and Morocco now, Venice will be the most likely be the European civ that is going to come, since that both Indonesia and Moors rules out not only Italy, but also Hungary, Bulgaria and Normans, which were the other speculated Euro countries around.

That's certainly not a Khmer clothing style; the skin tone also seems paler, closer to Malay than Khmer. Also, is that a tattoo or face paint on the cheek? Also not a Khmer tradition.
