[BtS] Diversica

You are welcome, glad you like it.

I will upload a fix for the first contact texts later today. I created a few generic greetings for the time being, those will get used by leaders with no specific greeting (so that truly makes leaders pluggable, because their texts are not modular).
 
Every time I try to start the carter earth maps the game crashes.
What could I do?
 
But I have seen many earth maps and the carter maps are the best ones.
And on an earlier version of div_woc it works fine.
 
Grrr, you are right, these maps are a pain, too much info in the map instead of in the xml. So you have to update them when the xml changes even tho the same info is in the xml already.

Here is the WoC bugfix, the regular version does not need a fix.
 
There is a bug with the submarines, the menu where you should be able to order them actions doesn't appear. What can I do to fix this?
 
I've been trying to use the Carter 32 civ map with Diversica. I read the post where you explain how to do it(page 5), but it doesn't work. Carter no longer updates his mod. I am using BTS v3.19 on Vista.

Is there another way I can play with more than 18 civs on diversica? I have no experience with mods; this is the first mod I've used.

This mod has everything I wish Civ4 had except for the limit to 18 civs. Thanks so much for making this! :D

Glad you like the mod :)

If you were to add a DLL which supports more civs, you could play with more civs. Usually this also requires slight changes to the map however (the number of civ-slots in the map has to match the numer of civs the dll supports, even if not all of them are actually being used by the map).

The only dll I know of which supports more civs and works with 3.19 is RevolutionsDCM.

I will add that in the next version of my mod (thereby merging the WoC and regular version) along with a lot of other goodies I picked up along the way, that release is still a while off however (no, I do not have an ETA).

Your savegame is indeed broken this is an issue with CIV, not the mod. Sometimes saves do get corrupted.

It were a issue with the mod if the game would crash repeatedly at a certain point (usually when you build a new unit for the first time or have researched a new tech) but you can reload the savegame (saved prior to that point) and continue up to that point again (you just cannot get past that in-game crash).

So, as this is a random corrupted savegame and not something due to the mod, I cannot help you there. Sorry.
 
What a fast response. Alright, no problem. I started a new game already. Rams are really giving me a hard time, it changes the entire start of the game. This is the first mod I try and I like it very much.

btw... I was playing and noticed that the Malinese Elephant Warriors appear as red lumps. I just want to bring it to your attention for the future version.

Hm, wonder how that did happen, must have accidently deleted the unit as it is not in the fpk.

Oh well, sounds as if we need another fix. Get it here
 
Version 1.50 released.

For some reason, Carters Earth maps do no longer work. I have no idea what I did to break them (I have a version of the 18 random civ map which works with regular BtS but not with my mod, so I must break it somewhere in my xml, no idea how / where though).

If someone figures this out I would appreciate it :)

EDIT: I just realized I forgot the xxl worlds (as they were in core WoC, but not in light...). this too will break the Carter maps, but that is not what I was talking about, just set it to huge size (in the file) and it still breaks...

Thanks :) I do realize our mods are very similar, with VD having all these additional civs and Quot Capita expanding the modern and future era.

I would have liked to expand the future era some more thanks to all the latest units and include RevDCM, but I currently have limited time, so I figured I do this as an intermediate step and then expand from here - it was high time for a new release in any case :D

Exactly how I went with VD towards QC, and it proved a good step: I doubt I'd undertaken a big project as VD after starting a big modpack!
