no. as I said, not much time at the moment. perhaps a small update with some minor tweaks (like the barbs strength for example) until september.
already noticed in post #1. anyway thx.
Oh excellent. I am looking forward to it. How do you feel about tweaking it so France can start with a port other than Algiers? They just strike me as one of the early naval super powers.
I was originally playing the game with the intent to pursue the status quo and just see who could build up the fastest. What I found though was I would quickly produce a ton of cheap units and my choice was either to;
A) Hang on to them and gimp my economy
B) delete them as I build them
C) Conquer
I chose C and quickly took Berlin and Rome. Then Rome became my port of choice.
I am finding money is the only reason not to go on all out killing conquest across euroupe. I take one city and then wait a while for things to settle down and take another.
I like the thing you did with the Great General BTW. I thought it was more to force us down the path of using it as a great leader in the field instead of a Trainer who develops new traditions.
Here is one other thought;
Have you considered being able to build wealth from the start of the game?
The reason I ask this is that it is very easy to over-extend your empire and I would think the AI may decide to build a "killer stack" of units and then having nothing to do with it, go conquer, except unlike a player they may choose a city that will be a drain on their economy in the long run.
Thank you for this mod, there is something very different about it imho, that adds a lot of strategic depth.
