[BTS]LateGameMOD

I have been playing this mod for a while (currently at 18th century and in industrial era more or less) and its really good but there are some things I would like to comment on.

1) early game: limited options to build practically forces you to expand, but to build army big enough to kill a barbarian city requires you to gimp your economy for quite a while, before you lose 90% of the army getting the city. A bit irriating as at some point all you can do is build units and delete them.
2) civics - I think that the method with only one civic to chose from is rather limiting. Probably the biggest global gripe I have with this mod so far.
3) preset relationships - don't like this at all (second biggest gripe). It makes things predictable and also allows to easily conquer friends without penalty. I started as canada, taken over US, Mexio, Brasilia now Im going to go after Argentina and thanks to preset standings with (+25 is really well enough) I can ignore everyone and they dont seem to care about my warmongering.
4) it seems AI is generally not aggresive enough. After quite long game sill about 7 barbarian cities in northern asia are not conquered and no civilization has actually become significantly better then others. Which is a shame, as I expected China or Russia to do some decent landgrabbing.

5) Medic promotion seems to be not working. I haven't seen any unit type since I researched Microscope until Riflemen/Grenadier/Cuirassier that can be upgraded to Medic

i just checked corporation advisor none are founded soo theres something wrong....

Nudden, I know you have limited time, but have you ever considered a few other scenarios for this mod? It's wonderful. I absolutely love it, but I want "moar".

Iam going to make ONE "official" scenario coming with 1.10. it will be a cold war scenario, starting in 1949.

well was a lil boring for me to start cuz u cant build anything and u have to keep delete ur armies u cant take cities for a while but once u can conquer cities it gets good

i agree with that. perhaps i can do something about that.

Besides this, great work :)

1.) agree. a little boring at the beginning.
2.) will not be changed.
3.) will be changed with 1.10, but you can edit this easily.
4.) i can nothing do about the agressiveness of the AI. perhaps i can make him a little better.
5.) there are only a few units that can get the medic promotion ;)

so has anyone been able to have a corporation?? ive stopped playing if it doesnt work ill wait for the fix
 
so u got a minning inc or something?? i cant get it up i dont get the icon to click on

youre right, but this wont be changed unless there is a better solution for an american forbidden palace.

I founded the corps so early because i did that with the worldbuilder (was just a test!).
So, i have a few checks for you that you can run yourself:
1.) Be sure, the corp you wanna found is not already founded.
2.) Do you have the tech PATENT RIGHTS? This tech you need for ALL Corps!
3.) for cocacola and jewelry you need also the tech CONSUMERISM and a great MERCHANT or ARTIST
4.) for ethanol you need also the tech PLASTICS and a great SCIENTIST.
5.) for sushi you need the tech MEDICINE and a great MERCHANT.
6.) for mining inc. you need the tech RAILROAD and a great ENGINEER.
7.) for creative constructions you need the tech COMBUSTION ENGINE and a great ENGINEER.
8.) for aluminum corp you need the tech ROCKET SCIENCE and a great scientist.

well im dling 0.9 ill start from scratch and give u input seem like no point goin on with my version...

my input for 1.1 make 2 scens one the way it went down and one where germany could play a part as the 3rd reich if they never invaded russia

Hi Nudden,
Interesting MOD.
Lots of work done!

I like to see how the gameplay develops, but sooner or later it gets stuck in a "conversation-block".
Looks a bit like some sort of a MAF-error, in my experience most of them happen also when the screen changes at invention-blocks, wonder-blocks, converstion blocks etc.
But in this case the way it happens is different:
The conversation block (when another nation asks me for a deal like open borders) is already there but then I cannot give an answer because the answers are not available.
The lower part of the conversation block is empty.
Not a matter of letters in the same color, but no letters and no reaction to the mouse pointer. There is nothing.
Sometimes I can escape from the dead block with ESC, mostly the game just stucks and I can only get out by resetting the pc.
In my case it happens in contact with Brazilian leader, so maybe it is only for that leader

Just wanted to report it to you.

Oops, sorry, I deleted that one...

Of course I will start up the game and will try to send you a savegame.
Takes some time to play all the way to it, so in the mean while I can only offer a bit more explanation:
EDIT: Sorry, I made a save every turn to catch the situation, but when I played again the game developed different. So I have no instructive gamesave for you.
I tried it with some other nations and the same happened again.

So maybe it is a simple problem, for some nations the text is not in the associated ini-file of py-file or so.

Maybe the problem is heavier: if I try the buttons without seeing text, I find no buttons, then it is not a missing text problem but something more basic of the mechanism is is gone / not copied when you made it.
Most ttimes it happens when some other party asks for open borders.
