[BtS MOD] Wolfshanze 1850-1920 Enhancement Mod v2.0

I too would hate for this to end. A shame to let CFC ruin something for which they are nothing more than a supporting venue.

If nothing else there is another good option: Apolyton.
 
I know how easy it is to say to hell with it and leave a place. I've done it myself plenty of times these past few weeks, which has alarmed me somewhat, as I"m not like that normally.

I wish Wolf would release his last version though, as he had a 2.86 in development.

That said, can either of the two modmod folks (I count WolfRev and Merged Mod as modmods) do the additions Wolf wanted- like the Motorized Infantry?

The best compliment I could give this mod is that this is what I would want Civ V to be in terms of units.
 
I'll admit, that is something I would do and have done- so I am being a hypocrite most likely.

For the time being, I am not going to jump on this. Wolf should have the chance to change his mind, without anyone else picking this up in the meantime. I don't know what an appropriate grace period is, but I'm certainly not touching it anytime soon.
 
Of course there should be a grace period. I don't want to throw Wolf under the bus. I just don't want the people who enjoyed his work thrown under the bus either.
 
I hope Wolf will continue the work on the mod,it was one of the things that kept me playing Civ4.Its also the only reason why I joined this Forum.
 
wow, i don't check the forums for a few days and all heck breaks loose.

i, like many of you, loved this mod and i'm sorry to see wolf go, not only for the work on the mod itself but help he gave me with telling me how to code stuff when i needed to change things that weren't working right and for his help with suggestions on how to improve my system.

i too hope that this isn't the last we see of him and his work but if it is, take care man and thanks again.
 
I can't believe that one of the most prolific modders of this game is gone because of a moderator.

The only reason I still play civ IV is because of Wolfe's Mod.

I am really sorry to see him go.

Wolfe, I know you've seen this a 100 times but let me thank you again on a wonderful mod. Thanks for sharing it with the community.

I wish you good luck in your future endeavors
 
Okay, I thought I'd better leave my $0.02. I'm almost certain he'll come back, but none the less...

You guys will know that Wolfie could sometimes have a rather short fuse. You only need to check out some of my "conversations" with him, or between him and dutchking, to notice that. In fairness, I did argue back, but the things were so petty anyway, it was really stupid. In hindsight, I shouldn't have, and I'm sure he'd agree it was a waste of both our time.

Anyway, despite this, he's done a lot for a lot of CFC-ers with this mod, and I'll be sorry to see it go. However, I will try and resurrect it in modular format for the WoC, so that people can make small changes here and there.

So, bye for now Wolf. I'm sure you'll be back soon.

it was entirely his decision, he frequently used a tone which could be seen as inappropriate, so I am actually amazed it took this long for some moderator reaction.

I am also surprised by his reaction to it, I would have expected him to simply remain his usual self.

Same here, but the last has not been said yet. Seemed like a heated reaction and maybe he cools down soon, maybe it takes longer, I would not rule out his return just yet.

I ported over his naval categories in Diversica, just not all his ship types. So you can grab those from my mod.

If you're still reading this thread, or haven't put me on your "Ignore" list, I beg you to reconsider. I didn't mean to spark a fight and probably could have worded my posts better. Like many others, I love your mod and would hate to see you go. No hard feelings intended. You've done great work, keep it up.:thumbsup:

Wolfster, I, like others, only play Civ at this point because of this great mod, so take a break, go to another forum, project, hobby- but know we admired your work and enjoyed it! :goodjob:

wow!! thanks a million. i was getting scared for minute cause i couldnt find a link. i was going to be seriousily depressed without the finial release for wofshanze. thanks again
