I patched my desktop and got the "Failed to Load". I will leave my
laptop as it is to continue my games.
I also had problems with the patch as my Firewall was being
difficult. I hate spending time and getting those HIPS downloads. I
also got a message with the in game download to go to civ4.com for
help. That didn't work either. Tore down the wall and all went fine.
Except for the Fail to Load stuff.

I had problems downloading the patch from the "check for updates" menu. I had to get it through CFC which sent me to some atomicgamer website where i got it fine.

Mikeyia, I am patched and can't play an old save. Can you play any of the old saves? I downloaded 1700 from my mail on line and couldn't play with the patched game. I am able to play a game in the PBEM league, just one though. The others all fail.
Can anyone play any of the old turns,patched? We could start at that point if we are all patched.

I am patched and have played a different PBEM successfully (at least for one turn). The last save I saw was 1705 and I played and sent it on 6/16.

You have to send it to a computer which has 3.13, resave it without the admin password, send it back, load it in 3.17, and resave with the admin password again.
