Bug reports and technical issues

It does. I chose the civ at random.
Can you start a game as a civ with autoplay and upload the 3000BC/600AD autosave?

Some rounds ago I started to get this empty notification

Spoiler :

It's not a real gamebreaking problem, it just annoys me a bit
Okay, that's not supposed to happen, but at least now I've learnt that something is wrong with the immigration code.

Looking into them right now.

Edit: not a single error message using the first save. The problem seems to be on your side somehow even though I don't completely understand why.

Should I reinstall again? I'm still getting exception boxes with svn 454.

Could it be anything to do with Win 8?

I don't know really ... you get an exception you when the game tries to call a method from the DLL, even though it works fine for me. Seems to be game related, but I can't tell why it's only happening for you.

I'm getting some exceptions with the SVN every turn, I'm getting them every turn, started not long after 1800

Do you have a save from the turn before that comes up?

All of my exception problems began with 452. It's all RiseAndFall, RFCUtils, CvRFCEventInterface CvRFCEventHandler & CvRFCEventManager. Could there be an issue with that this is a no-cd install? I couldn't find the disks so amazon download (in Civ4 Complete fashion) had to do.

I'm really at a loss right now. You're running the same code as anyone else and even the DLL you access is the same. Unless for some reason the mod isn't properly loaded for you.

No, after that I played and won a game as Congo.

In patch 3.19 Firaxis being a wonderful group got rid of the CD check in the EXE in addition to adding tons of new modding options.

That's great & remember it from 2009, but the point I was making was about the nature of the install. I wasn't getting these problems before with both a traditional cd-derived method and a svn 452 build of the game, however now with a slightly different file structure and a new svn I'm getting issues. Logic being what it is I was asking if there could be any issues lurking about. A misdirected .dll? I remember that it was a pain to run the thing after the new install so maybe they share a similar reason for being with the python exceptions. I don't know though, not being the awesome dude who wrote it.

1) The Egyptian units aren't selected in the beginning of the game.

2) I can hire my own unique unit.

I'll see if I can force that.

2) I can hire my own unique unit.
I don't see a problem with that.

Noted.

3)What are Berbers doing in Egypt?
Barbarian units move towards the closest target.

4)Why is the list of civs so high? Can it be lower so that all the civ names can be seen?
Not sure, I guess it's because the minor civs aren't displayed but still use the space, I'll see if I can change that.

I can't get Ethiopian conquerors, now matter how many different ways I try to approach the New World civs.
Are you sure you're in the right timeframe?

Are you sure you're in the right timeframe?

Yes. After repeated attempts to sail my own Caravels up to meet the New World civs (including Maya, which were still kicking on) I decided to withdraw and wait until another civ tried to trigger the conquerors. A Moorish caravel sailed into the Caribbean in 1410AD and promptly got conquerors. So I went back and loaded an autosave, deleted the Moorish Caravel, replaced with an Ethiopian one (mine) and moved my Caravel into the same position. No conquerors.

My Caravel triggered the first contact stuff, terrain changes and plagues, but just didn't get any units. Whereas the Moors did. So I was wondering if there was anything in the code that was different for Ethiopia, compared to other civs?

Not as far as I'm aware, but that doesn't mean much. I'm doing something else at the moment, but I'll look into it soon.

That's an odd name for a Moorish Republic.

Civics: Republic, Representation, Capitalism, Free Market, Secularism, Viceroyalty

No name has been input yet. It would be simple to do.

1. Go to Mods\RFC Dawn of Civilization\Assets\XML\Text\DynamicNames_Moors.xml
2. Add the following

Code:
<TEXT>
		<Tag>TXT_KEY_CIV_MOORS_DESC_DEMOCRATIC</Tag>
		<English>Whatever Name you Want</English>
	</TEXT>

1)Rome has declared war on!?

2)I have failed the goal several times. I think I've failed it each times somebody was first to research a tech I needed to research.
