Bug reports and technical issues

If they ever pop up again, I've found the popups are tolerable ( but tolerable) if you hover your cursor over the 'ok' and hold the enter key down.

They should be gone with the current revision.

The score isn't shown at all, the 3000 BC news repeat very often, and the screen is very slow.

When I played DoC for a while, an error just pops up and says ''beyond the sword has encountered a problem and it must be closed immediately''. :(

Something has gone horribly wrong with my art files.

But SVN says everything is fine... All I did in the XML was turn on checking for AI UHV goals (turning them off started six trillion pop-ups saying they didn't check for the goal), and turn off Tibet, Tamils, and Kongo.

1. All names are just strings, the game has no way of telling whether they are singular or plural.
2. Wait for the flip.
3. Your capital was Pataliputra? On the starting tile?

(Also, please use spoilers for your images.)

You can update to get rid of the popups. I'll try to reproduce your problem. Edit: I couldn't.

1)I founded my capital on the starting tile. My units were rejected on the northern tile.

It appears there's still an exploit where you stop paying for mercs after upgrading them. Something is bugged at least - my GPT changed +1 after upgrading a merc unit.

Edit: Also, aren't national wonders meant to be destroyed when you capture a city? As the Dutch, Interpol stayed in Jayakarta upon conquest. Maybe it's caused by special circumstances of the TC-event - e.g. you can't raze the cities you're targetting and gain some culture and so on?

Edit II.. guess it's not really a bug per se, more of a balance/AI-issue, but: http://imageshack.dk//viewimage.php?file=/imagesfree/J4872770.jpg

Yes, there's no special AI for handling slaves right now. They only evaluate their individual abilities individually. Sometimes that means they're hoarding them.

And I think it shouldn't be possible to upgrade mercenaries.

I'm not sure why Interpol doesn't count as a National Wonder? Maybe there isn't even a rule that National Wonders have to be destroyed on city conquest and it only happens with the rest because they produce culture?

Interpol and Academies (Military and 'science') aren't National Wonders, nor destroyed at capture, since they are build with GPs and aren't limited in numbers like National Wonders. Basic Academy even provides culture, but isn't destroyed. And that's the way it should be imo. They are more similar to settled GPs than National Wonders.

Are you sure Jusos? The tooltip states that it's a national wonder in-game? But oh well if you can build more than one in any case, it's not a problem of course.

Edit: No, it really isnt the case - there can just be 1 Interpol, it's not the same as with academies. Just tried giving myself a Great Spy in WB, I can't build another one.

Okey, if Interpols are limited, then they shouldn't remain. On the other hand, why are they limited, if Academies are not? My guess would be a bts bug, since Interpols were introduced later.

The first Chinese UHV goal doesn't seem to be activating properly on the latest SVN revision. Played on 3000 B.C. start, built all of the pagodas/academies ~700 A.D. and the "Goal 1 has been failed" popup came up in 1000 A.D. The victory screen had check marks beside the goal untill 1000 A.D. when it failed.
