Bug reports and technical issues

SVN 764 Colombian UP sometimes work and sometimes doesn't work.
I can't really do anything with a vague statement like that.

That's better, will try it.

Yesterday while I was playing as Spain, I took Lisbon, the only city in Portugal's core from them, but they didn't collapse. They had only the sugar island city left before I took it too. I thought they should've collapsed by the time Lisbon was taken?

They don't, the other starting settler settled the sugar island city.

Hi!

I'm currently on SVN 765, but I don't see the new difficulty options. I'm running Windows 7 professional 64 bit, and the game is installed on a separate hard drive. Other recent changes also don't seem to be implemented (What was the change to the Arab UP description from 761 to 762?), but I don't get any error messages that updating didn't work.

Anybody got any idea what to do?

Did you modify any files by yourself? Are there files/folders that show a red/yellow symbol instead of a green one?

What does SVN mark as your current revision when you open the show logs option?

It might be because Windows restricts rights for modifying the mod folder for some reason, but usually that results in an error message.

Some issues:
- When you hoover over the city with the Apostolic Palace, the button of the AP is pink.
- The Tibetan embassy has the Chinese civ button.
- The 3rd Spanish UHV doesn't seem to work. The UHV-helper says there are currently no Protestant civs in Europe. But England and the Netherlands (and IIRC, the Vikings too) are. I have my 2nd UU modcomp installed, so I don't think I can provide an savegame.
- The 2nd Spanish UHV checks 1 turn too late.

The Zoroastrian Religion Civilopedia text should use AD and BC to match the rest of the civiliopedia.
The Kushana Barbarian tribe name should be Kushan to match the other barbarian tribe names.
In the Resources Python file these don't have txt files:
TXT_KEY_MISC_DISCOVERED_NEW_RESOURCE and TXT_KEY_MISC_EVENT_RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED
National Gallery's Strategy txt calls it a National Theatre
Zoroastrian in the Zoroastrian Cathedral strategy txt is misspelled
I am using the latest SVN

The Catholic Missionary Strategy calls the Catholic Shrine the Basilica of St. Peter.
The Catholic Shrine Strategy calls it the Church of the Nativity.
The Catholic Shrine Civilopedia txt is of the Church of the Nativity.
The Orthodox Missionary doesn't have a Strategy txt.
The Zoroastrian Shrine doesn't have a Strategy txt.

I don't know if it is intentional, China often has to fight Parthian and Goturk horse archers. If it isn't intentional then the central asian barbarian should spawn only if they have to. I.e. if Samarquand is barbarian or razed no need to spawn goturks. If Parsa if indie or barbarian or razed no need for parthians etc.

Smarter barbarian spawns are on my to do list - it's something that takes some effort.

After looking through the latest stability maps posted in the stability map thread, I've come across two more instances of squares that should probably be Historical, but are marked Foreign. The tile that Port-au-Prince is built on in the 1700 AD scenario is Foreign for the French, as is Palembang for the Tamils, even though the rest of Srivijaya is Historical for the Tamils.

Yeah, I will look through all of them once I've finished the converter.

^ yes, I have wondered about some of the diversity of resource placement between the scenarios. For example, Columbia has a much better resource placement in the 1700 AD scenario as opposed to 600, to the point where Bogota can't really grab any good food resources in 600 AD.

The wonders are also a valid point, even though they are obsolete. Maybe there could be a feature where certain obsolete wonders can be destroyed upon city conquest? (I say certain since we obviously don't want to lose wonders like the AP).

These Tiles all have cities or are forests already at least once in the scenarios.
To ensure that these cities can be founded they should all be forest or clear thought the scenarios.

x=27, y=29 (Bogotas Tile) should change into a hill slightly before 1700 AD. So that you have time to found Bogota at 1700 AD.
