Bug reports and technical issues

Hi,

I have a problem with the Dynamic civ names when playing Project Synthesis (SVN).

First question, am I in the right forum??

Second Q, The dynamic names dont display right, it just shows the 'TXT_KEY_VASSAL_OF_EGYPT...'
Is it just me who gets this??

Third Q, I've looked in the Dynamic Civs.py and there doesn't seem to be any CivName Text for Democratic Civ names, there are communist names, fascist, vassal names etc but nothing for democratic names. Is this correct?

1) Right forum, but wrong thread I'm afraid. Linkman usually reads here as well so that's not a big problem, but if you want his attention for something concerning Synthesis you better use the Synthesis thread.

2) Afaik Linkman hasn't finished changing the dynamic names yet, so missing text is to be expected.

3) Can't answer that :D

Thanks. I think I found the problem, next commit will include the fix.

Fixed the broken control check for the Arabian (and Japanese) UHV. Will be included into the next commit.

Typo in the text keys broke this, shouldn't happen again with the latest revision.
 
Hi I think I read somewhere that the Trading Company's troops aint supposed to spawn on cities anymore, and yet my tropps still landed on Mumbai and got Smashed by MegaMughals.
 
Are you using the latest revision, or at least 163? If that's the case, if you have a save from directly before the event spawns it would be very helpful.

Yeah, all the time. Changing all the TXT_KEYs just makes it more error prone. Notify me if it occurs in the game.
 
I think my favorite embassy is the TXT_KEY_BUILDING_THA_EMBASSY
 
I also saw that :D No need to report that the embassy mechanic is broken as a whole and you can contruct those of dead civs or those that are already dead, either.
 
Does anyone else like the TXT_KEY_EVENT_TEXT_TRADING_COMOPANY_CONQUERORS_1 event?

I just downloaded this mod (version 1.73), but there seems to be a problem. When I load the mod and click "play scenario", I am not given any options, there is only a picture of the Earth. If I click "OK", a text "worldbuilder save "" can't be read/found)" pops up. What am I doing wrong?

Did you install it into the right folder? Beyond the Sword\Mods\?
