Bug reports and technical issues

A few more (possible) bugs:

Italy has no sub-goal tracker.

Every time I play the game as Britain, "a great mediator attempts to broker peace between the british and native empires." I go to peace with native people, giving me a big advantage in colonization. (this is definitely not high priority, just a small hint. The player can just choose to stay at war, but an AI might make peace with Natives, and it probably would just be a small edit to remove the event).

During the british trading company event, most of my soldiers spawn in jungle (again, i'm not sure if this is important or even if it is a glitch or not).

Lastly, in my british games, 1/3 of the time Vikings found Lindsinfare (sp?) in northern Scotland. (once again, not sure if it's a problem but you provided an extra settler with the assumption that that city won't be there)

I just utterly failed a French UHV attempt and I'd like to share exactly why it happened.
I basically rolled a Rome start and settled Brest + Paris, loading them with Wonders and Legions
for the switch and when it happened, and I was playing France, I noticed that their stability
modifiers were using Rome's (low Economy, high Expansion up to a point).
I faced a horrible collapse in 1881 on the Rome stats and failed.
As well, I have the bug where I can't trade for Gold manually as a switched civ.
Could these things be fixed?

Anyways, some comments on the 1st French UHV condition.
I'm inclined to agree with King Coltrane's suggestion that it become harder,
but ONLY after you switch Great Artists back to 4000 per pop.
Because I still would've missed the goal.

^ You can have infinite bug-free civ-switching by saving the map before your intended switch in the WB and then play it as a Scenario from the Main Menu.

really? even with the GA at whatever they are currently set to I found it too easy... cathedrals (catholic and protestant), wonders, specialists, the Salon, the slider, and culture building (plus absolutism) made 20000 really easy. i think they are 2400 now right? i easily got 7 GA, which is 16800. if they were all 4000 I would want the UHV to be 40000

i got the same offer with the current SVN in my spain, england, and france games. seriously, every time. i accepted with england i think. it does seem like its more likely now.

It is likely that AIs recognized you as Rome.

Yeah, I vassalized Spain two turns after switching too; I had a big stack of Legions and Spain was at war with both Vikings & Arabs.
Interestingly enough, their dynamic name was the Spanish March.

Also, I tried your suggestion; the game crashes immediately after loading the WB scenario.

Damn. That never happened to me. If anything, it actually makes the game faster and more stable for me, especially with RFCE++ which is plagued by RAM errors otherwise. You may want to try a WB scenario saved from a few turns earlier.

In fact, I often use this method to autoplay intermediate segments of the game I am not too interested in. For example, I would start as China, settle a few optimal city sites, and then let the AI autoplay China until I start again as Korea. Then I settle a few optimal Korean city sites and let the AI autoplay until I start again as Japan. This way, I don't have to ragequit on start as Japan due to hilariously bad Chinese/Korean city placements.

This also has the effect of reseting many counter: great person points, production... In effect changing the game a lot.

Yes, but in principle it is not really different from playing a 600 AD scenario instead of a 3000 BC one.

And GP counters, Stability, etc are reset for respawn civs as well (which actually gives a significant advantage to say, respawn Russia). You can just view this as Human-controlled respawn of AIs.

Im new to Mods as a whole, But i managed to download both RFC Abundance and Dawn of Civilizations. I unzipped them an all, and put them in the correct files(the my programs/programs(X86)) till the BTS mods folder, now with hem all being in there I load up CIV BTS, and go to advanced options, I see the option to select the mod. Click it, then it ask me to restart, i do, but as its restarting, it just says "error, system had to close", what could my problem be? I've been trying to work this out for 4 days... sad i know

Welcome to the boards!

I'm not sure which folder you chose to unpack the mod to. It's supposed to be in Beyond the Sword\Mods\.

I did Add it to that folder, the crash seems to be coming from the Game core(Dll) Is there anything I need to upload? is it maybe the patch i just downloaded (3.19)

Yes, 3.19 is needed.

The 2nd UHV condition for France is bugged.
I don't get the 2/3 or the Triumphal Arch upon
passing 1800; would you mind taking a look
and possibly fixing it? I'm eager to win
after failing twice trying to go after this.
I'll take a look.

Edit: the save was really helpful. Fix committed.

Are you absolutely sure you are correctly patched? The in-game patch update thingy does not function as advertised, you'll have to do it manually.
