Bug reports and technical issues

The VD patch should've fixed that. Did it ask you to overwrite anything when you unpacked it?

Jep, but I installed it so quickly, I didn't notice what I was overwriting...

These free conquerors given to ancient AI civs (as well as the new Conquerors of America) - are they supposed to be UNITAI_ATTACK_CITY_LEMMING? Units with such a script never bother to defend their conquests, leaving behind undefended cities in their wake. They capture a city and then vacate it on the next turn.

Admittedly, that's the only reason why my (Phoenicia) mercenaries were able to defend against Roman free units. It was still a bit hard, despite these units' unability to defend cities.

Umm...Italy still has the greenish colour of doom...
I just changed the VD Civinfo file. But this does not change an already begun game in retropersective, does it? ...

No, the colors will be assigned when you start a scenario.

not sure if it's really concidered a bug..
not really sure how to write this either...
the dynamic civ naming thing isn't included in all texts
currently playing Prussia, umm e.g. the Swedish Empire quite often still gets referred to as the Vikings in dialogs etc. 'Would you please join in our fight vs. the Vikings' in diplomacy
or the news about events(which show at the beginning of the turn) like 'Vikings have completed persecution' or something like that wonders or so.

and a question about corporations in DoC
Civilopedia says that it spreads on its own when the req. are met, but I can't find the req. for say Oil Industry or any of the Corp thingies
only the resources and benefit etc. from the civilopedia, but no idea which tech or so
well except for trading company or is that a pre-requirement for the other later corps?(haven't built it in Hamburg yet..)

RFC's dynamic name system only covered the long civ descriptions, not the short descriptions or adjectives. I've mainly followed that pattern.

I crash to desktop when I'm trying to open WB in my current game...sometimes it says something about a C++ runtime error.

Oh, forgot to mention that, it's temporarily disabled until all new civs are in.

Oh yeah. I forgot to mention this bug (that's probably been found by others...). If a civ spawns at war with a vassal, most commonly Thai vs Khmer, who is a vassal of China, they don't spawn at war with their master civ. Though considering the circumstances of my example, that fix might not be welcomed....

Unfortunately not. Also I currently don't have the time to extensively investigate this.

We'll be patient then, and play civs who's UHVs end before 1280. Ancient world, here I am !

I played DoC for the first time and had some trouble.
Played as Egypt, reasearching towards the Great Library until I discovered I was researching the wrong technology (drama instead of literature). So I decided to load an autosave to jump back in time. When the game was loading an error message popped up and the game crashed.

Also, the civilopedia didn't work correctly for the 'new' buildings, wonders etc. Instead of the 'history' it showed e.g. TXT_KEY_BUILDING_ZOROASTRIAN_SHRINE_PEDIA. And the screen that pops up when you build a new wonder didn't work.
