Hi-o. Found out about this mod a while back and now that school has ended for me, I decided to try it out.
I got the newly updated version from SVG, and accessed the game through the 3000 BC WB saves. However, after I have chosen a civilization, difficulty and so on, the game crashes just as it is about to begin loading.
I set 'HidePythonExceptions' to '= 0',as indicated. The messages I got were the following five, in this order:
Sorry if this was addressed elsewhere; I skimmed the last few pages of this thread - since the error seems to be something fairly recent, with the inclusion of Tibetans and such, afaik - but found no trace of these errors. Neither the Gods nor F3 have helped me... Will you?

Try redownloading.
I had copied the mod data from another folder; i seem unable to make SVN download the files into a 'RFC Dawn of Civlization' file I created in /BeyondtheSword/Mods.
SVG says:
Could the errors I have somehow come from not having the files in the Mod directory downloaded directly?

That error just means that SVN can't access your program files because of administrator settings and whatnot; I have that problem too. What I do is download to another folder, compress the SVN folder (making a new one) and extracting to the right place. I've never encountered any problem with this, though.
my guess is you're not actually loading the mod. iirc when you first download DoC the mod path isn't in the WBS. loading the mod via main menu/advanced/load a mod may work.

If "they" is referring to the file pictures, then they aren't in Documents\My Games\Beyond the Sword\Screenshots.
And what would be the best image site? As long as it's free.

Japan game, always crashes at the end of 1695. In fact, it's my 3rd try as Japan and every single game had a terminal crash between 1650 and 1750. Reloading back to an earlier save did not work.

A strange thing happened to me today.
I was fighting Mongolia, when suddenly, I received the following messages:
China had declared independence from Mongolia!
China is now a vassal of Mongolia!
The Mongolian civilization had been destroyed (The Mongolians, unstable for long, collapsed).
And as a result, all previously Mongolian cities - including those not in Chinese spawn area, like Sarapul on Volga or Ulaan-Ude became Chinese. I didn't change anything in respawn mechanics and I have no idea why China respawned in such a way.
Does anyone know why such a strange thing might be possible?

Happens all the time to me.
Mongolia is unstable. China splits from them in a semi-scripted respawn. As Mongolia is not unstable enough that losing fringe cities helps, they lose stability. China, with the heavy Mongol military presence around them, feels threatened and peace-vassals. Because of the resulting instability form losing cities, the Mongols collapse.
Easy way to solve: make the Mongols start with viceroyalty and have it be Genghis's favorite civic.
Better way to solve: Make China's leader at the time extremely unlikely to vassal and respawn them with Japanese techs instead of Mongol-Korean-Thai-Khmer techs. This would also solve the problem where China likes to vassal to your first European power, which iin my opinion is very unrealistic.

^That is kind of odd and potentially gamebreaking. Perhaps try a fresh reinstall?
In my experience, either Mongolia controls all of China or has reduced it to a meager vassal,
or China controls Mongolia's core via invasion after its scripted rebirth.

It could be that there is enough Chinese culture in Mongolia proper to flip their cities there. I don't remember the thresholds in the collapse code, but I agree that this often produces counter-intuitive results.
I have had same kind of experience and I have found (or at least that have been my guess) reason to be what Leoreth wrote in those cases.
I think Mongolia have to gamble if they want to expand quickly and same time keep China their vassalage. Chinese city have usually extreme big value of culture - because their early spawn they have wonders and they tend emphasize buildings which produce culture.
Quick expansion by conquering usually means that barrack, stable, walls and maybe even castle are higher on priority list than library.
