Bug reports and technical issues

Thanks, your saves helped me narrow it down. BUG and the old DoC files interfered with each other when data were saved or loaded. I have fixed it now, but the revision won't be savegame compatible.

Glad I could help! Although I would have loved to finish that first save since it was probably my best start ever in a France game. A fun, functional modmod tops a good start in a game anytime.

Yeah, I had no option in this case. Not fixing it would leave you with a game where you cannot save anything related to Python (this includes stability and UHV stuff).

Game ending bug when I open city screen:
Spoiler :
attachment.php
All I did since spawning was swich to Warrior code, move my starting settler 1E and founded a city on my second turn.

Clicking on the python excepton popup doesn't make it go away and the game goes into a terminal freeze.

This is SVN 574, but I got it yesterday on 573 also.

EDIT: save attached also

What's going on with this? And by this, I mean lack of info on the city screen. On revision 574.

Edit!

This is peculiar.

Alright, so this is mostly a minor annoyance, and it's not really something you need to fix immediately, especially with all the new stability stuff, butttt...

San Martin uses Peron's "intro" music as his diplo music. Shouldn't he use his assigned music, or at least use the full Peron diplo music? I don't know if this is intended or not, or if you already know about it.

Feel free to add this to the bottom of your list, just below the Theodosian Walls. :p

I also found a lack of info in city screen. It happens right after a unit/building is chosen to be produced.

I'm assuming most of the city screen stuff comes from the same bug which should be fixed with the next revision.

Edit!

This is peculiar.
What's wrong with this? Edit: Oh I see the percentages are off.

I was playing the 1700 AD scenario as Prussia, and I was exploring around with a galleon. By 1712, I had reached the Portuguese city of Lagos, but "The villagers are hostile". 3 barbarian warriors spawned around the city. Apparently there was a goodie hut on the same tile as the city? Unfortunately, I'm not sure which subversion it was on. It was probably 568 or 571. I'm not sure whether or not the goodie huts are placed randomly, but I've sailed there many other times and never seen this happen before.

Good point, I never actually excluded culturally controlled tiles from random hut locations.

Playing as Ethiopia, I no longer get any starting workers on my third turn. Rolled three different starts with the same result.

I just got several Python exceptions in SVN 574. Here's a screenshot:

Edit: I just checked and it was 575, not 574 if that matters.

I encountered a bug in my game. I am playing as Koreans, SVN build 579 (I think) v 1.12.

The Korean UHV has a bug. I got the 1st 2 conditions and the Triumphal arch. Later on I noticed the 2nd UHV (Printing press first) was failed. I'm not sure when and where this happened, but I can try combing through saves. Let me know what you want to help track the bug.

So the goal failed after you've already completed it?

So the goal failed after you've already completed it?

Yes. It had the green check mark and the turn later the arch was built. I was working on the 3rd one later on and I checked my progress. I noticed the 2nd one had changed from completed to failed.

Alright, I'll take a look at the code.

I've checked the code and it shouldn't be possible for that to happen. Maybe some other error caused the stored data to reset. Did you update the SVN during this game?

no, I played on the same SVN the whole build.

here's another oddity for you

I loaded the 1470 AD game, and now

the 1st UHV has the green checkmarks for the stupa/acadaemny, and "not yet"
the 2nd UHV thinks no one found the printing press yet, and it says not yet

I think it was because I saw some dll errors or something when I was saving/loading earlier.

I will update SVN and replay the game. If you want any of my saves let me know.

It would be better to know what the error messages said. They should still be logged in My Games\Beyond the Sword\Logs\PythonErr.log.
