Here's a save from the turn before the problem appeared. I was playing with the 600 AD modmap from Master Map Change Thread, but I had the same scoreboard disappearance problem with the normal map in previous games.
I've tried the save, but couldn't reproduce the problem. Your contact to Tibet is cut two turns later, which could've caused the bug because you still had contact with their master Mughals, however in my case the contact with Mughals was also cut.

Have you enabled any special scoreboard settings?
 
Okay, here's a save of me as Brazil. I tied to use the slaves to create plantations but couldn't do so. I could still use them as city specialists though.
Which revision is that save from? 634 is the latest one I can open it with, and there I can create slave plantations without problems:

No, I have not. I'll try another game to see if problem persists.

Oh, you don't need a regular plantation first. However, you have to remove forests/jungles with regular workers.

SVN 639: crashed on the first turn as Japanese 600 AD, reason unknown.

Yeah, the thing with this error is that it may disappear on reloading.
 
Running the modmod under Linux/WINE results in "init error: error loading shader libraries" while the game itself and also basic rhye's and fall runs flawlessly. Any ideas? DirectX-related probably, but why ffs does it only pop up here and now?

pf_printp_f and the devenum stuff is normal, just means no grafics on the modal window that shows while the game/mod is loading.

I notice I don't have a CvGameCoreDLL folder with DoC that RFC has.

Version is non-SVN, with all sprinkles applied from the first page of that thread.
 
Yeah, DirectX is a good place to start. I've never run DoC or any version of BtS on Wine though, so I can't really give you advice.

The CvGameCoreDLL folder is missing to minimize download size. It's not required for the mod because it only contains the source code.

Any idea why DoC would relate differently to DirectX than original RFC? That's the really puzzling bit.
 
Hello, i have a really big and annoying bug. For some reason when i try to open an advisor, the game crashes. I tryed all advisors, and it always crashes. I really don't know what to do.

Is this your first time trying to play DoC, or were you able to play the mod from previous versions? Do other BtS mods work?

Yes, it's my first time playing it, and yes, the other mods work. Also other mods with modified advisors works.

Come to think of it, is Civ4 itself case-sensitive? I ran into a whole lot of trouble with another game, finally turns out all that was preventing me from using mods with that game was the sloppyness of authors who'd capitalize folder names or not with no pattern whatsoever. If you have a folder textures and one Textures the game would just choose one at random and ignore the other. Please, someone tell me it is not going to be that mess all over again.

Civ4 isn't case sensitive with respect to folder or file names, so that could very well be the problem ...

I donwloaded it on CFC.

Edit: I just saw that in the SVN version you added the BUG mod. I'm going to try the SVN version. Cause BUG mod works on other mod that i have.

What do you have to do? Capitalize all folder names? Or remove capital letters?
 
Now everything works! :banana: For some reason the BUG mod resolved everything. I really don't understand why it crashed. What do you think about it? :confused:
 
Hard to say from a distance. I'm just glad that I don't have to figure it out :)
 
I was playing as a peaceful and solid Japan, 600AD Monarch in a cheat mode.
Bored, I switch to Tibet (Alt + Z), WB some units near Independent Indians and China, attack and conquer.
Off course, I expected Tibet will be unstable due to expansion penalty.

I don’t care. I switch back to Japan and end the turn. I am surprised to find that Japan (which was solid or better when I switched) is now in the verge of collapsing, had lost 1 city to Indie (crisis) and eventhough now I only have 2 cities left (Kyoto & Edo), it seems that the bEmpire function in DCN is active. Then the game crashed to desktop.

My question: Could this anomaly in Japan happened because of what I did with Tibet (using cheat mode) ?
