Bug reports and technical issues

Hey Leoreth, I was doing some experimentation in Worldbuilder with my save I recently, and after lots of different approaches, I got my save to work.

Ultimately, my experimentation showed that the Independents were the cause of my crashing, and by reassigning and deleting indie cities, I was able to successfully end the turn. I have two saves, one which was crashing, and one that doesn't, after I removed the indies.

Hope this helps.

Yeah, I'm currently tracking down this bug too and have identified the independents.

Progress is slow, but I'm in it for the long haul :D

Revision 695, notice something strange?

Does this happen to anyone else?

I'm aware, tried to change his background back to the Great Wall, then didn't have the time anymore to get it right before committing.

Yep. It confused me for a while, then it turned out there were still superfluous background graphics in the mod that overrode the path of his vanilla background.

Hi! I'm very much interested in trying your mod. The download went fine and the installation is ok, but I have an issue: when I load the mod and go to Scenarios the only Scenario I see is WBSave, or something like that. I don't see either the 3000 BC or 600 AD start.

I have tried renaming the mod folder, as you mention in your first post, "RFC Dawn of Civilization", but it doesn't work.

Thank you.

Where did you install the mod? It has to be in Civilization IV/Beyond the Sword/Mods/, not in the My Games folder.

Here's the installation path, as you can see I have the steam version:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization IV Beyond the Sword\Mods

Oh, nevermind. I have moved the mod to another folder. There seems to be another MODS folder and it works now in this path:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization IV Beyond the Sword\Beyond the Sword\Mods

Thank you.

Okay! I'm unfamiliar with the Steam file structure but good that it works now.

Why skirmishers? Aren't they supposed to be archers? Latest SVN.

Haven't added any units recently that could have messed up the ids. Will take a look at it.

Hi Leo,
as I said you in PM, i've some new problems in playing with Japan with new SVN.
no more crashes, that wonderful :) , but two more different problem:

1- UHV disappears from victory table.
I continued playing until I discovered future tech (1), and I'm sure to be the first to discover it because the only civ in competition with me was Englad but using Internet I'd outdone it and I discovered FT 1 turn before england did (I can see enemy research with espionage) ----- I post 2 images of the victory table.
It seems that it disappears after Apollo P is built for the first time by any civ (Germany here). The 2 saves are from 1949 and 1950.

2- Congress never appears. I never had a congres screen in which you can choose cities.... i've 2 saves from 1835 and 1898 if you need for them i'll upload...

It's definitely Apollo Programm that cause UHV disappearence.
I've deleted Berlin in 1949 (using WB) the turn before AP is created and in 1950 my UHV are still in the vicotory table.

Hi,
Just updated from 1.11 to SVN 697. Noticed that France cannot build theaters after discovering Drama, also French UB salon is replacement of jail, but the game allows me build only ordinary jail, not salon. Is it intentional?

Nope, I'll try to reproduce that.

A bug, Iran Historical Goal 1 wouldn't check.

In this quicksave, you'll see I have OB with Russia, Poland, Holy Rome, France, Netherlands and Portugal, 6 European civilizations, in 1650 AD. But after hitting End Turn, I fail the goal.

I spawned with Archers after the Roman autoplay.

Opened up the 1700 AD scenario and could build salons, but no jails.

Looks like both of your installations are screwed up somehow, I suggest another update.
