Bug Reports and Technical Issues

Can you elaborate? What can I do to reproduce this?

I have a city, give it a religion and religious building (a temple?), then move the city? And the religion disappears when the city is moved?

If you give me a save where that exact thing happens it would be best.

Error whenever I open up the victory conditions screen, and whenever I end each turn. This error just came about once I took France as a vassal state.
Hello, just wanted to make sure you saw this bug report from the other day. If you did see it, and are working on a fix, then sorry for bringing it up again!

For whatever reason, I did not, sorry. I have a fix for this, it'll be pushed with the next set of updates.

yeah, that game was played on the version some commits ago, after I updated the mod on my machine I'm getting the crash as well. ah well.
I fixed two errors from that save, so no need to figure out the earlier commit you were on. The bug was still in the latest commit.

Spoiler Hagia Sophia problem :
This is the original 1700 AD build with both the wonders active in the city, but they are not shown together View attachment 565467

By removing the Blue Mosque with worldbuilder

Now only the Hagia Sophia can be seen but if you add the Blue Mosque again Hagia Sophia suddenly disappears again

But if it can't be solved then nevermind but it's almost like they are the same building which it might explain why they can't be seen at the same time. Thnx anyway for checking it out tho :)
Oh, only noticed now that you're on VD, that changes things. Will take another look.

In 3000BC scenario, the Germans/Holy Rome Empire begins with dynamic names linked to Austria, instead to the HRE.

The Ottomans are called Turkish in the invitation tag to play with their civilization in both 3000BC and 600AC scenarios (which is not wrong, but I think the name has changed to prevent confusion with the Turks).

Egyptian second goal of pagan religion victory doesn't accept Great Generals as great people. Is that intended ? Save attached.

If Catholicism spread in Congo before Protestantism is found, the civilization participates in the Reformation event. Is that intended ? Save attached.

Noted the Austria thing. The rest are intended.

Yes. It's called the reflog. I'm not sure which client you are using, in the command line you should get something like this:

This is on a local repo on my work laptop, where I checked out DoC on v1.16.2 a while ago and just did another pull. Latest is on top. To the left you can see the abbreviated commit SHA.

You can do the same with TortoiseGit, here's a link with more info. Not sure how to access it, but the docs mention that it's called "Reference Log" and you need to shift right-click the directory to make it show up in the context menu. It's probably best if you just screenshot what is shown and upload it here.
Never knew this feature, thx!

Save from previous turn that allows reproducing the errors is needed. Your logs did not include PythonErr.log, so not helpful either.
Sorry, my fault. Here are all today logs from a new game.
I can't have (or I don't know how to have) a previous save, as the error popups are shown at the start. Anyway here's the new game autosave - but I see that when reloading it the popups are gone.

Thanks, I think that should be enough.

Sadly the Saves I got are for Knoedel's mod, which uses 1.16.2. I haven't been able to get the bug in the nightlies, hence I first thought it was related to Knoedel's mod but probably it isn't. But decided to report, as a maybe the issue wasn't.

Maybe it is doable by playing as the Greek then moving the Egypt capitol south 1S or 2S, then making it greek or manually conquering it. I'd have to test that. With the Judaism faith in it and not. As mentioned it doesn't always trigger, a mild guess maybe it is also related to the Carthage capitol moving, as then a palace, but doubt it?

Knoedel's mod save has tons of error messages, mainly cause I tried to fix it after moving the Egypt capitol south lol. Also when the city changes by moving troops out under monarchy or changing the science rates a bulk of text flies, by as every end of turn.

I'm just gonna tried it and save if i can make the bug on the latest nightly. ;) Is there a way to turn seeing all those red bulk of red error messages, upload save off?

I thought you had found a way to cause the issue, apparently I misunderstood.

No.

Yeah I can't get it to work with moving cities in the mod, I also thought I discovered the issue but maybe something has to happen before hand I missed? I'll test a bit more ^^

I do know it started with Carthage 100% in or before 600BC and capturing their Phoenician City near Jerusalem. Just what happened before puzzles me, they had moved their capitol to Carthage already.

Already on that one, I think I have the fix.

There's a global enforced peace of 10 turns (normal speed) at the start of the 1700ad scenario, is this a new feature or a bug?

Can you rather screenshot the error message box that pops up, instead of the notification message?
