2nd Hindu URV displays golden age turns instead of golden ages. Also says I need 9 golden ages instead of 3, probably because I'm in marathon but 9 golden ages is actually impossible. I am a couple updates behind so it might have been fixed but didnt see anything about it in the git update log.
Have "Control X territory" goals been changed to require controlling independent cities as well? Independent Ninua is preventing me from controlling Babylonia here, for Greece. I remember we used to be able to ignore independent cities when trying to control a province.
I'm seeing something odd when playing with Italy as my first country in 600 AD, on Marathon. When Venice flips from Independent a few turns in, its non-Italian population percentage keeps growing, even after increasing its cultural output or even outright removing any foreign culture on Worldbuilder. I've tried testing workarounds, like having it be conquered by an AI that's about to collapse, but in those cases it's just the conqueror's culture that suddenly keeps growing even after retaking it (even after the AI is eliminated). I've also tried razing and replacing the city in Worldbuilder, erasing any culture present on the tile, but it still happens in the newly built city.
None of this happens with other conquered Independents, so I'm wondering if it's an issue related to the flipping mechanic. I've tried declaring war before the flip to see if it changed anything, but no difference.
Thank you for your continued work on the mod. It's easily one of my favorite experiences with Civ4.
I will check, but most likely this is because your cultural flip is decaying. Right after spawn, 100% of the culture is flipped to you but then gradually restored to its previous owner.
In 3000 b.C. scenario is not possible win the German/Austrian UHV because in most of the games the AI doesn't build the catholic and orthodox shrines before the game begins and Its not possible to generate a great prophet until the completion of the UHV. Save attached.
Can't say I blame them. Maybe Priests should get a bonus to AI's preferences if said AI controls a holy city, or have said preference bonus boosted if it already exists.
Hot take but I wouldn't be opposed to the holy shrines just spawning at a certain point when under AI control. Not sure what conditions but I almost never see the ai build them and it means the player isn't really as incentivized to capture those cities as they should be imo.

I frequently experienced a bug in 3000 bc scernario for Russia where i had Germanic (HRE) culture in Saint Petersburg tile, while it should be Russian\Viking\Polish, there were no other nations around. And i couldnt expand my culture a few tiles to the west - tiles were with empty culture after HRE collapsed, if HRE was present it was yellow although they never had any cities around Baltic...
The only in-game explanation of this = they used spies grow their culture in Petersburg. But I tried razing Petersburg in WorldBuilder and the settled it again - and still got the same result. The specific tile has 99% of yellow HRE culture...
I don't have a save, if this appears again i ll post it.
Yeah, I can only really say from looking at a save. But keep in mind that tile culture remains in place even when a city is razed, so that is to be expected.
Playing the downloaded v 1.16 with VD mode.
Seems like Wat Pre Pisnulock effect "+1 food from priests" doesn't stacks with republick's "+1 food from specialist".
When I turned back to Monarchy (1270 save) works fine.
