Bug Reports and Technical Issues

That's intentional.

In Mandinka third UHV, the second goal is trigged to be completed in 1500 instead of 1700. Also, the Songhai dynamic name doesn't appear anymore and they should begin with Elective instead of Monarchy, since the Mali Empire was a federation and every member of each tribe have participation in the government of the empire throught the Great Assembly, including selecting the rulers of the empire. Save attached.

When I switched to Iran, this python exception appeared and in the Victory Conditions screen its UHV and URV are not present.

My vassal who had 7% of my population and 12% of my land declared war on me only a few turns after capitulation and got conquerers. Again they unvassaled and declared war only like max 10 or 15 turns after capitulation.

The Turks even re-spawn (if dead) at the their conquest events. No other civilization does that.
That makes them unique and if you ask me annoying to play against.

I discovered that its not an isolated problem with Iran, but this happens with every civ that the player choose to switch.
Judaism have none influence in the Maghreb, when historically the region have considerable jewish presence pre dating roman times until the 20th century.

In the Turk second UHV, the road from a city in China to a port in the mediterranean sea is not working. In this save, I have built many roads connecting the two cities and yet I have failed the goal. Save attached.

There is a text error in the National Monument pedia.

Strangely, in this game, Egypt doesn't have any islamic dynamic names, like Fatimid Caliphate or Mamluk Sultanate, not even Sultanate of Egypt/Misr. Also, it continues with Cleopatra as leader. The civilization is in the medieval age and is very close to me in research. Is it a condition to Egypt change leaderhead and name, collapses in antiquity and be reborn in medieval age?

The road have to be within your culture borders.

Yes.

Wow. I didn't imagine this when I read the goal. Thanks for the help. Maybe this could be taken in consideration to turn more clear the Turk second UHV. These details could catch the player by suprise, like opening borders with an civilization would stop the Oghuz horsemen unit from pillage and attack the improvements of the chosen civilization, which such information is lacking in the unit's pedia.

Thanks to the answer! Nice to see that Egypt can have an alternative path that reflects the surviving of this civilization of invasions and conquests by others empires. Would be nice if the dynamic names corresponds in some way to this alternative path. Its very strange to see "New Kingdom of Egypt" when any other religion like Islam or Orthodoxy is adopted as state religion.

Sure, any ideas?

I disagree.

Sure, that would work as well.

Well, since this is a tentative of naming country that have evolved in an alternative form, I have thinked mostly in generic names.
  • Kingdom of Egypt when adopting christianity and having Despotism, Monarchy or Elective as civics;
  • Egyptian Empire when having cities outside core and could be a used to identifies a christian empire, but the priority should be territorial expansion.
  • Sultanate of Egypt when adopting Islam and having either Despotism, Monarchy or Elective as civics; and Caliphate of Egypt when using Theocracy, beyond one of the described civics in the topic above.
  • For the actual days, I believe that Egyptian Republic or Republic of Egypt when having a republican form of government.
  • State of Egypt or Egyptian State if have an totalitarian form of government
  • Islamic Republic of Egypt or Islamic Egyptian Republic if using Constitution and Theocracy.
  • Socialist Republic of Egypt when being socialist.
  • By the end, Egyptian Sepat to identify a city state government and possível vassals, like “Sepat of Phoenicia”. (Sepat or Nomes are autonomous city-states that became united in a single kingdom and later, the word was used to identify territorial divisions in the egyptian kingdoms).
I have also considered the use of the name that the ancient egyptians have given to their country (Kemet). Would be interesting in the construction of these dynamic names because the name would link Egypt with its ancient culture, since the english word egypt is derivated from the greek word aígyptos.

This is probably a dumb idea, but what if Egypt used the name Kemet at first, and changes to Egypt when it becomes the Greeks' vassal?

I don't think using Kemet is a good idea - every other country uses the standard English/historiographical name, it would be inconsistent.
I must painfully agree with this.

So let's make it consistent, and rename all the other countries too!
