Bug Reports and Technical Issues

Yeah, I haven’t been able to directly launch the mod since I started playing Civ IV through steam, I have to launch base game then then load the mod from there.

You've tried the command line inputs via the game tab on Steam here? That's worked for me. You do need the old version beta thing active.

Try using this: mod="RFC Dawn of Civilization"

You can also create a shortcut to your BeyondSword.exe (you can find it in your install location) and add "mod=RFC Dawn of Civilization" at the end of the target:

Once the mod is running you can also pin it to the task bar for extra convenient launching. We are all playing DoC enough to put it in the task bar, right?

Was having a nice Malay game and now i get a crash to desktop in 1240

I have no idea what I'm doing wrong or why the mod won't start

We need to update all the language related to bonuses to the spaceship production with the language related to Mars colony modules production.

Playing as America and England's "I Refuse to Talk" won't go away. Even after 50 years. What to do?

Load the original autosave from spawn and send it to me.

Copy the 2nd RFC DoC folder into the mods folder, so you have only one folder with the files and assets, maps, etc folders
All this seemed to have done was, now when I load the mod, instead of the regular BTS loading screen I now get the RFC loading screen... without the mod or RFC available.

One final thing- every time I load up the mod, I am spammed with three of these alerts. It's a small thing, but it's annoying.

Does anybody know anything about this?

Roman Roads are a separate route type, maybe the game needs the +1 info to be separated like that?

I found a BUG in the version updated on 12/16/2024. In the following save game, if the turn is passed and the cities are flipped in the CIV Brazil flipzone, the CIVs Portugal and Holland (which had cities in the area) refuse to talk, even though there was no war previously.

In this post there is a save in which this bug occurs in nations that had flip cities not accepting talk. It is from older versions (close to 12/16/2024) but maybe it will help to solve it.

I think math is slightly off for the Oriental Pearl Tower effect. Not that I am complaining, but 14*2=28, not 36 :science: . Save is in here.

Thanks. The Oriental Pearl Tower effect is tracked as the population changes. Did you have anything unusual happen with its population? Do you have a save from where the research is still correct?

Population left to the New World at some point. Here is the save right after finishing the Wonder -- everything looks correct then!
