Oh, I see!
So what if we replace the original Expansion2-DLL with the one from the CP then?
I know that changing the core-files is a No-Go, but it's not that I will ever play vanilla/ without CP again..

Could this be a workaround, even if not an ideal one?

Think I might have found an issue here.

The CityStateGreetingPopup.lua for the Compatability Files (EUI) has no content, the same file has no content either for the EUI for CBP (reads: -- do not delete: overrides original file). So, when you greet a city state, you will basically have no text (culture, faith, etc.) for the new text that was added under GlobalCityStatesGifts.xml. Shouldn't the same CityStateGreetingPopup.lua from the Community Balance Patch also be in the Compatibility Files as well?

EDIT: Looking at that .lua it doesn't appear to be written to where it'll hook up to TXT_KEY_MINOR_CIV_CONTACT_BONUS_CULTURE, _FAITH, _GOLD, ETC.

Double post

So i have the problems with missing texts and in the tec tree, and some of the ressource information, such as the monopoly bonus. i have the CBP with EUI, i have deleted the yield iconmanager, but still have the rest of the lua files. my game is set-up with english, but im not sure if it is en_US when im in euro. my steam and PC is set-up with danish language, but the game language is english. ??? pls help, if any how some info. on something that i can try or look for. thank you and happy gaming :)

There is only en_US in Civ5, so that's not a problem. :)
Are you using City State Diploacy + Civ 4 Diplomatic Features and the Compatibility Patch as well?

At work atm, so i wont be able to post my dmp. Looking for more general thoughts anyway. Not running anything special apart from. More luxuries, infoaddict, c4 diplo, YNAEMP etc... Only had 2 crashes in +400 turns but the most recent one seems game ending.

First CTD occurred when I attempted to accept a peace deal from China, as Japan during war and my workaround was basically denying the deal and settling next turn on my own terms. (For what its worth i noticed that a pikeman was in the process of taking a caravan and getting bombarded by a nearby chinese city. Maybe something got confused after the peace deal or something.)

2nd time im not sure if I can get around this. China wants me to DOW on Korea, but canceling CTD and accepting does the same. Dont know why chinas causing so much trouble..lol. Got saves for both.

I know without files its hard to do more that guess, but i wasnt sure if this issue had been observed before or not.

Keep up the good work guys, loving the hell out of this mod so far. Its breathing new life into the game!

Ok, for the record:
Civ4 Diplo v10
CBP mod compat v9
City state diplo or cbp 6-19, v27
Infoaddict v22
Moar Lux v155
CBP v13
CP v66

Got the two saves with the dmp file. I also noticed that the recent updates were suppose to remove some of the issues with peace deals, but i dont know if the CTD is necessarily related. All i know is its chinas fault! :mischief:

Having the same problem as JediOmen where when I accept or deny any deal presented by the AI my game crashes immediately with no prompt. I'm running only the full community patch mod with more luxuries. The game was fine untill about turn 300 then the moment i get prompted by the AI Civ crashes. Any thoughts or ideas?

Great mod. This is what Civ should have been like from the beginning. Adds so much depth to the mechanics.

I was playing as Isabella of Spain, on King difficulty on Large (10 AI 20 city states)on the earth map on marathon speed. And it started happening after a war with the Mongols.
I deleted all the mods and reinstalled them. Cleared the cache, and verified game integrity. Still having the same problem.

Anyone have any idea why an AI turn would take over 10 minutes, and how that could be fixed?

Slow computer. Usual way to decrease it by switching to strategic view and enabling quick combat and quick move during those AI turns. Of course Quick Turns does that

Definitely not a slow computer. Just bought it brand new. And this issue only occurs with CBP, so it's definitely the mod. I will try the quick turns thing though.

@Lynnes ty for answer

I made a fresh install of civ V , and installed complete community patch only, no other mods etc.

As i said, when running game via mods menu, everything works fine (except game crashes now and then but i can survive that ). If i start new plain game, descriptions of buildings are not available.

CTD, you make my heart bleed. About halfway through the industrial era (I wasn't watching the turn count -_-) at standard speed. Game had been running wonderfully. Shoshone asked to renew a border agreement, I accepted. Poland asked to renew a border agreement, I accepted. CTD.

Edit: After posting, my slow brain finally remembered there are such things as auto saves. This zip file has the most recent which was about 13 minutes of play or so before the crash.

The following zip is of my MODS folder in case you really want it. It truly is strictly CBP folders and files from the installer.

I hope this is helpful in your quest for destruction of AI CTD bugs! I really enjoy playing the game with the CP and CBP, but I can't seem to get through a game without it inevitably crashing :'(

Minor oversight in the UnitChanges.sql:

-- Carrier should cost Iron
INSERT INTO Unit_ResourceQuantityRequirements (UnitType, ResourceType, Cost)
SELECT 'UNIT_CARRIER', 'RESOURCE_OIL', '1'

(sets oil instead of iron)

I find setting autosave to every turn helps narrow the save files when issues like this occur. Plus you can play around with it a bit. One of my recent CTD was avoidable by canceling out of the deal and doing it next turn (a bit later though, one of them wasnt...). Hopefully the big bosses will see something in the dmp's.

Edit: /post before entirely reading edit...lol

New doesnt mean fast. Stats? Big map? Lots of units?

I don't remember the stats off hand, but it's a 2015 MacBook Pro running bootcamp. It's pretty fast, and only has processing turn issues when running the CBP. Any other mod I've tried of just the base game the turn lengths aren't longer than a minute. So it's definitely the CBP doing this. It's on a large map, and I'm going to check with IGE to see how many units are around.

Are you running in performance mode or battery saving mode for your laptop? I have a work MacBook Pro, and it performs much differently on battery versus being plugged in.

Btw I always wondered if it's intentional that you cannot select Gold and GPT when making deals anymore.
So selecting one, greys out the other, and the tooltip says you should try the other option instead.

What's the reason for this? What if I want to rob them blind? :o
